&M's global Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) practice are now at point in our exciting growth story where we need a Managing Director or Senior Director with focus on Commercial Due Diligence. We are looking to hire someone who has a successful track record with a blend of commercial skills, an entrepreneurial approach and networks across the M&A community in EMEA.

A&M seamlessly draws upon the expertise of global, integrated teams of functional and industry professionals to meet clients’ needs.  In addition to aligning these core offerings, PEPI partners on client projects with our colleagues from Transactions Advisory, Corporate Transformation or Digital teams.  As such, we have access to a wide reach of resources from a broad range of sectors across the various geographies.  This collaboration model is further enhanced by the senior resource depth comprised by C-Level Executives, experienced Consultants and seasoned Operating Partners from A&M, which is one of the unique qualities that allow us to take on a wide range of complex situations with differentiated knowledge.

We have local teams and resource globally and specifically within Europe across our UK, Germany, France, Italy, Sweden and Netherlands practices, to name a few.  A key objective therefore for our new Managing / Senior Director will be to collaborate, integrate and partner with all our PEPI related colleagues and mandates. The new colleague will demonstrate strong abilities in the identification, direction, and optimization of A&M talent. The successful appointee will work with our established team and enhance the profile and reputation of the Firm in the Commercial Due Diligence space leveraging his/her deal acumen. Building on the success of the A&M brand, the successful candidate will bring proven leadership experience as well as a strong network of high-level private equity contacts.

Supported by the European PEPI team, you will help build the profile and reputation of A&M in successfully sourcing and delivering Commercial Due Diligence work. You will reflect the operational distinctiveness that is A&M; a business savvy, solution focused business entrepreneur who is determined to make a difference and not afraid to challenge the status-quo.

Specifically, the Managing / Senior Director will:

  • Identify and recognize new project and business opportunities in Commercial Due Diligence. Drive growth through origination and effective business development
  • Oversee client engagements and deliverables, which includes monitoring progress, quality and client interaction
  • Assist, as part of the senior team, in the development of a differentiated A&M CDD product, building on its operational heritage and know-how
  • Lead the successful development of client relationships
  • Promote knowledge sharing within the broader A&M team and grow CDD talent, incl. supporting external recruitment
  • Demonstrate track record in successfully running Commercial Due Diligence in numerous private equity deals, as well as growth strategy projects: deep experience in managing teams and leveraging stakeholder relationships to deliver superior results, ability to find innovative solutions to complex issues
  • Act as an ambassador of the firm, participate in marketing events and keeping abreast of the wide range of services the firm offers. Actively bring in other services to client work.
  • Provide change leadership & management support for leadership teams, and businesses more broadly, to successfully adopt and embed new technologies and ways of working.
  • Support recruitment, retention, development, training and motivation of employees.


  • Hands-on and non-hierarchical individual who is equally effective in managing up and down and relates well at all levels and cultures, in a collegiate partnership environment;
  • Strong facilitation skills, forging consensus around credible, executable solutions;
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills, confident presenter;
  • Objective, fact-based approach to problem solving;
  • Driven by values and integrity, talks straight, builds confidence and leads by example;
  • The ability to manage a multiple stakeholder environment within a privately-owned business;
  • A persuasive and effective communicator who can engage effectively with leadership teams in pressure situations.
