Transfer Pricing

Transfer pricing is more critical than ever, as the delicate balance between maximising shareholder returns, managing reputational risk, and complying with a changing, complex legislative framework has never been more challenging.

Our international transfer pricing professionals advise on intellectual property (IP) migration, supply chain planning or global expansion, pre-deal due diligence, corporate restructuring and merger integration, tax authority investigations, and policy updates as a result of base erosion and profit shifting (BEPS).

We leverage our broader international tax team and global Taxand network to ensure a seamless integration, recognising that transfer pricing is a critical component to a much larger tax and commercial picture.

As a result of this breadth, along with A&M’s growth, we are expanding the tax practice rapidly at all levels and looking to recruit an Associate into the TP Tax team.  The ideal candidate will be bright, entrepreneurial, action-orientated, and hands-on. 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with managing and driving projects - co-ordinate project delivery with other parts of the team to ensure that overall deadlines and objectives are met

  • Perform technical research and understand key sources of data, while applying a questioning mind

  • Understand and achieve client and team expectations, and makes self-available to complete tasks in order to meet team and client needs

  • Effectively drafts correspondence, both internal and external, organising and articulating thoughts in a clear, concise manner, customising communication method as appropriate

  • Participate in functional analysis interviews for clients operating in a wide range of industries

  • Assist with preparing detailed economic analysis and modelling in a variety of contexts

  • Prepare transfer pricing documentation and other transfer pricing deliverables in a concise manner

  • Assists in provision of advice regarding transfer pricing issues to clients

  • Assist with the preparation of applications and negotiations for APAs, ATCAs and MAP

  • Assist with business development and marketing initiatives

  • Coach junior team members

  • Assists with coordinating international tax advice on client issues, including liaising with Taxand (A&M’s global tax network) across the globe

Qualifications:

  • ACA or ICAS qualified (or equivalent professional qualification)

  • A couple of years experience in transfer pricing or tax efficient supply chain management (TESCM)
