What will you be doing?

Lead a team of data analysts to perform complex data analytics across a broad range of topics and practice areas and to provide our clients and  internal partners with advanced analytical and technical capabilities.

You will have the opportunity to lead a team of analysts to help internal teams and external clients in confronting and resolving legal matters by providing data analytics on a variety of projects involving economic disputes, financial crime investigations, legal, regulatory and compliance situations, anti-money laundering (AML), Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF), and Economics Sanctions Compliance and associated regulatory compliance centered engagements. You will -mentor and lead internal teams and external clients through various complex analysis and findings across a wide range of interesting projects such as fraud, compliance, economic damages, and insurance, while protecting their interests and providing long-term value. By establishing consultative relationships with stakeholders, you will guide them toward best practices within the Disputes and Investigations services. data analysis.

Our Data Analytics Director position offers an opportunity to be part of a team that supports a variety of industry sectors, dispute types, and geographic jurisdictions.  The problems we solve for our clients are complex and require innovative solutions that call on a comprehensive range of modern data science skills, including descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics.  

  • Work with large datasets, assisting our advisory teams in gaining insights through a variety of data-driven solutions such as statistical analysis, financial modeling, time series analysis, KPI and management reporting, utilizing tools such as SAS, R, Python, or SQL to interrogate and understand data.
  • Presenting and communicating analysis methodology and findings with external clients and/or stakeholders.
  • Oversee the report generation and client deliverables describing the analysis, assumptions, methodology, and key findings.
  • Responsible for end- to – end project management and execution of projects (e.g., planning, resourcing, organizing, and reviewing)
  • Contribute to increased efficiency in processing large amounts of data and will support a data-driven approach to assisting our clients in problem solving.
  • Apply predictive analytics, statistical modeling, and machine learning/deep learning techniques such as GLM, Regression, ARIMA, clustering, decision trees, Markov chain, Optimization/Operational Research, autonomous agents, Network Analysis, and others where applicable.
  • Present findings to internal teams and external clients in interactive dashboards and other visual presentation tools using data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI..

Core Qualifications: 

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in the field of data science/data analytic
  • Experience working with transactional data, preferably in banking and financial services.
  • An excellent academic record and a BA or BS degree from an accredited university
  • Experience querying and analyzing data using common database systems and programming languages, including SQL, Python, R, and SAS
  • Experience with machine learning programming languages, including R, Python
  • Experience manipulating data, cleaning data, structuring data and data analysis
  • Experience with visual analytics tools such as Tableau and Microsoft Power BI
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills when working with both clients and internal technical teams
  • Experience interacting with a range of internal and external stakeholders at all levels, including C-Suite level client executives
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to collect, organize, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, challenging, and uncertain environment
  • Experience in anti-money laundering or cryptocurrency is beneficial but not required
  • Flexibility to travel approximately 20-40% of the time

    The annual base salary range for Director is $130,000-$175,000 commensurate with experience. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance.
