The business unit of Transaction Advisory Group is one of Alvarez & Marsal's areas of expertise serving renowned private equity investors, hedge funds as well as industrial companies. Our experienced experts work in identifying and realizing value enhancement potential before, during and after acquisitions. In the process, we combine our operational advisory approach with detailed financial and accounting knowledge. In contrast to many competitors, we can act free of conflicts of interest, as no auditing is carried out by A&M. 

As a (Assistant) Director (m/f/d) you will manage the following key responsibilities, supported by the European Transaction Advisory team  

  • Work on multiple Transaction Advisory engagements in Germany, across Europe & globally, working closely with our Managing Directors 

  • Gain constant exposure to our Managing Directors, leveraging their substantial deal experience and be proactively involved in commercial, business development, and marketing 

  • Use the commercial aspects of your financial analysis skills, in addition to gaining exposure to the key drivers and valuation considerations which drive a transaction 

  • Work alongside operational and commercial professionals in combined project teams enhancing your understanding of the broader due diligence and wider deal process 

  • Network internally with our service lines and work on external marketing events to build cross- service line relationships 

At best you already have at least 8 years of relevant consulting experience and the following qualifications: 

  • Big 4 qualified ACA with a strong academic record 

  • Experience in Transaction Services (financial due diligence) is essential 

  • Native or fluent in German and English is required. Additional European language skills are highly desirable
