Analyst/Associate, eDiscovery Operations

What will you be doing?

Working closely with our clients to provide support and enable them to leverage forensic, eDiscovery, and data technologies to uncover and manage data-based evidence and intelligence in contentious legal and regulatory situations.

You will assist our clients in confronting and resolving legal matters by providing eDiscovery litigation support relating to complex accounting issues on a variety of projects involving economic disputes, white-collar crime investigations, forensic accounting and consulting, and post-acquisition disputes. By establishing consultative relationships with our clients, you will guide them toward best practices in eDiscovery.

  • Management of the practice data footprint and adhering to standard protocols related to forensic data ingestion, processing, and lifecycle management.
  • Assist in the execution of projects involving the identification, collection, processing, review, and production of electronic data relevant to litigation or investigations.
  • Accurately and proactively communicates with client and team members regarding upcoming commitments and deadlines, project status updates, and issues or challenges.
  • Maintain consistent communication and coordination with clients and team members to ensure timely completion of tasks, establish project goals, review associated costs, etc.
  • Manage time and tasks to meet client deadlines.
  • Participate in external and internal meetings to review work results.
  • Works collaboratively with a team of eDiscovery digital forensic data collection engineers.
  • Follow eDiscovery best practices to ensure the accuracy and reliability of analysis by performing quality control checks.
  • Provides end-to-end project support for the team and the client in data collection, database administration and management, and analysis, including gathering requirements from stakeholders, developing and maintaining project plans and documents.
  • Responsible for daily electronic data discovery collection efforts including digital forensic data collections.
  • Provide support to clients utilizing Relativity.
  • Produce consistent and thorough documentation and summaries of team’s data collection efforts, tracking, and reporting.

Core Qualifications: 

  • A BS, BBA, or BA degree from an accredited university with a degree focused in a technical and/or analytical field, (i.e., computer science, information systems, engineering)
  • 0-2 years of professional experience in the field of digital forensics, eDiscovery, or cyber security, in a client-facing, professional service setting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with the ability to synthesize information from several sources and draw coherent, well-evidenced conclusions
  • Excellent project management skills, managing and prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines across clients
  • Exceptional client service and follow-up skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Effective interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Rigorous organizational skills and attention to detail in all facets of work
  • Fast learner, eager to learn new technologies in a fast-paced, challenging, and uncertain environment
  • Ability to work on site in our Dallas office location

Preferred Attributes: 

  • Familiarity with data processing, document review, and production tools including Relativity, Reveal, ReadySuite, Nuix, and FTK
  • Sound technical understanding of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) and best practices in forensic collection, analysis, and review
  • Working knowledge of forensic tool suites including Magnet Forensics AXIOM, OpenText EnCase, and Cellebrite UFED, Physical Analyzer, and Inspector
  • Quantitative skills including experience with SAS, Stata, Python, R, Power BI, or SQL
  • Training and/certifications from industry organizations or vendors (i.e., Relativity, Reveal, GFCE, EnCE, CISSP), and/or other relevant professional certifications
