Alvarez & Marsal (A&M), a leading independent global professional services firm, specializing in providing turnaround management, performance improvement and advisory services, is seeking Senior Directors, Directors, and Managers to join its Public Sector Services (PSS) team and take leadership roles within the Federal Practice. Professionals will work closely with a group of team members and Managing Director to drive growth across the Federal market portfolio and solve highly complex government challenges by leading strategy and implementation efforts across projects.

Our Federal practioners:

  • Source opportunities aligned to the PSS market strategy and support pursuit activities related to the Federal pipeline executing all elements of the capture lifecycle.
  • Lead and support full lifecycle capture and have demonstrated success winning tactical sales, strategic contract vehicles (BPAs/IDIQs) and “Big Deals”.
  • Identify and secure teaming partners across an ecosystem of large and small businesses and technology firms.
  • Lead responses to Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Request for Quotation (RFQs) and serve as a proposal manager.
  • Develop transformation-based solutions addressing client challenges related to the firm’s solution offerings and capabilities.
  • Lead project delivery and have engagement management responsibilities with high a focus on deliverable quality and client relationships.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Performance Improvement (CPI) lines of service, firm industry groups, functional solution leads, and operation teams to integrate and leverage resources to optimize growth and delivery.
  • Lead, coach and mentor team member professionals.

Qualifications:

  • 6 to 12+ years of relevant work experience within a Public Sector practice at a Big 4 or Strategy (ex. MBB) consulting firm.
  • Previous leadership role within an account team/Strategic Business Unit (SBU) and proven track record of writing and leading proposals, supporting capture and winning work.
  • Management and technical experience delivering strategy, performance improvement, PPBE, analytics, or/and organizational transformation projects with Federal clients.
  • Master’s degree in Public Administration/Policy (MPA/MPP) or Business Administration (MBA) (preferred).
