The Team
A&M’s Global Disputes & Investigations (DI) practice is a leading provider of Cyber Risk Management, Forensic Technology, Forensic Accounting & Investigations, Dispute Advisory, Economic Consulting, and Privacy & Data Compliance services. The firm has an established reputation for high quality work in a non-Audit environment. Our approach is characterised by a high level of objectivity, diligence and intensive analysis.

The Role
Our Cyber Advisory team is growing ambitiously across the European region and further afield and is successfully generating work at a rapid pace. We are seeking a Director to focus on Cyber Risk Management, Cyber Strategy & Operating Model design, Cyber Program creation and execution, Cyber Due Diligence, Post Merger Integration, Carve Out and 100 day planning, Cyber Crisis Preparedness and Management.  A&M is one of the fastest growing Advisory firms in Europe and the successful appointee will play a key part in both client project delivery and business development. 


Our team provide Cyber Advisory services to determine the current state of cyber security maturity and identify potential security gaps.  Your responsibilities include:

  • Leading projects to analyse cyber security posture and design remediation plans
  • Cyber due diligence in support of mergers and acquisitions
  • Cyber risk evaluation, road map definition and execution
  • Cyber incident response, containment and remediation plans
  • Defining cyber security operating model, organization and skills
  • Acting in an Advisory role in the execution of all or some components of a security program (including technical, organizational and process aspects)
  • Take interim management positions for example (and depending on experience) CISO, CTO, Program Manager etc.

The Requirements
The successful candidate will bring market leading strategic insight into the power and role of Cyber security in private equity owned and Corporate business, possesses deep functional knowledge and insight, a blend of operational and commercial skills and an entrepreneurial approach. They will also possess a network across the Private Equity community and with business leaders more broadly, as a trusted advisor on how businesses can most effectively improve the returns on their investments in Cyber. Entrenched in the challenges companies face today, the successful hire will be experienced in establishing Cyber-led change programmes that address businesses critical issues.  The successful appointee will have responsibility for continuing to build the profile and reputation of A&M as a strategic cyber advisory and programme delivery partner to leading businesses. Furthermore, the successful candidate will develop and execute a specific strategy focused on target clients and distinctive go-to-market propositions.

The successful candidate may have held a senior executive role within a leading corporate or a Private Equity owned business. They will also have advisory experience from a ‘Big 4’ consultancy, top tier strategy firm or a leading specialist/niche advisory firm.

The successful individual will have an excellent academic track record coupled with an entrepreneurial approach. They will reflect the operational distinctiveness that is A&M; a business savvy, outcome focused business entrepreneur who is driven to make an impact, determined to make a difference and not afraid to challenge the status-quo.  Successful candidates will have a successful track record in Cyber advisory with a leading Strategy or Advisory firm. Your skill set will include:

  • Experience of Cyber Advisory in a leading professional services firm or similar
  • Cyber expertise and knowledge: experience in understanding, quantifying and managing cyber risks, assessing and stress testing defences, delivering robust & proactive resilience plans, preparing & presenting Cyber due diligence reports, post- merger integrations (PMI) and 100 day planning
  • Well-developed stakeholder management skills including addressing complex cyber risks and issues and managing key client relationships and expectations
  • Clear ability to deliver the latest thinking and work within multi-disciplinary teams delivering projects using a variety of methodologies
  • A consulting toolkit including how to frame a business issue, judiciously find and use internal and external data to test hypotheses and draw conclusions, business model using Excel, structure and write PowerPoint and Word presentations and reports
  • A strong academic record that could include a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  • Fluent business level English is essential. Additional European language skills including French, Dutch, German, Italian or Spanish are desirable
