German speaking Infrastructure Support Engineer

At Alvarez & Marsal (A&M), Disputes and Investigations (DI) is our dedicated service line that specialises in supporting international law firms and corporate clients with high-value expert witness work and in highly complex investigations. With IT forensics being a core offering of this service line, A&M operates forensic laboratories and data centres around the globe, allowing us to analyse IT artefacts and enter them into evidence. In these labs and data centres, we operate sophisticated infrastructure, hosting specialised forensic applications like EnCase, Cellebrite, NUIX, Brainspace and Relativity.

A&M is a dynamic growing firm and we are looking for a highly motivated, customer-focused Infrastructure Support Engineer to join our team in London as a Regional Infrastructure Specialist. As an Infrastructure and Operations Support team member, you will provide advanced administration, maintenance, and support of physical and virtual computing environments in London and the wider EMEA region. This position works closely with other Infrastructure, Network, Application specialists, and Business Partners to implement, monitor, and maintain A&M’s Forensic Technology environments.

Responsibilities

  • Administrating and supporting our forensic application environment, contributing to version roadmaps, infrastructure requirements planning, upgrades and maintenance
  • Acting as application support expert for the forensic application environment and actively involved as a support resource in the incident management process
  • Continuously and proactively identifying issues in infrastructure, application environment and support organization
  • Solve technical challenges and tasks with automation using PowerShell and scripting
  • Data lifecycle management and storage capacity management
  • Change Management / Incident Management / Ticket Handling
  • Asset Management

Requirements

Fully qualified IT engineer with relevant professional experience supporting large IT environments and experience in

  • eDiscovery Administration including Relativity Server/Relativity One, Brainspace, and NUIX
  • Microsoft SQL Server Administration (T-SQL query language)
  • Automation & scripting via PowerShell
  • Microsoft Windows Server (2016/2019)
  • Microsoft AD, DNS, DHCP, IIS, GPO, NTFS permissions
  • Systems monitoring and alerting
  • Virtualization technologies (VMware and Hyper-V)
  • Storage Management (Pure, EMC PowerVault)
  • Backup Solutions (VEEAM, Zerto, Redgate)
  • Endpoint Security (Antivirus, Malware)
  • Experience with Azure Administration a plus
