Momentum is the latest team from A&M Digital and Technology Services (DTS) and provides cutting-edge IT and digital services to our clients. Momentum will work on client site as the digital & technology delivery arm of A&M to provide tailored solutions to meet the unique needs of our clients. The Momentum team is composed of highly skilled technology professionals ranging from IT project manager to UX expert. Momentum will be an integral part of A&M offering and is expected to be a catalyst for the further growth of DTS.

The A&M Momentum team will work alongside the rest of DTS to support Private Equity funds, Corporates and Financial Services clients across Europe to: 

  • Realign the performance of the technology / IT function to support operational improvement programmes within business functions 
  • Carry out effective technology project planning and estimation and to confidently stand behind our estimates during the execution phase 
  • Shape and deliver enterprise-wide systems & strategic programmes to deliver performance improvement initiatives via automation, new technology adoption or process improvements 
  • We also provide design and implementation services for Transformative Digital initiatives within Data Science, Analytics, Digital Workforce and Artificial Intelligence and Digitisation 

   

Reason for the opportunity 
Against a backdrop of unprecedented growth, an opportunity exists for us to develop our Momentum team in Ireland. The successful appointee will be an experienced IT Project Manager at the
Senior Consultant / Principal Consultant level. They will play a key part in both client site project delivery and in the expansion of the Momentum team.  

 

Key responsibilities: 

Project initiation 

  • Lead on project business case development 
  • Managed high-level requirement gathering process and strive to optimise processes 
  • Lead business analysis and data mapping, IT cost estimation, and fairly challenge BAs 
  • Manage end-to-end vendor RFPs, vendor selection, and mobilisation 
  • Iterative Planning & Execution
  • Plan and govern all phases of the project lifecycle and supporting activities  
  • Define a backlog of requirements, to be broken down into low-level details as items are delivered 
  • Manage 3rd party suppliers and track against supplier SLAs 
  • Motivating project team members and 3rd party suppliers  
  • Clear ability to deliver the latest thinking and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams delivering projects using a variety of methodologies including Waterfall & Agile 

Project Monitoring & Closure

  • Measure and report project performance to stakeholders 
  • Prepare board level presentations to articulate project progress, and serve as a trusted advisor to executive sponsors 
  • Early detection of roadblocks and how to manage their resolution 

Willingness to travel 25-50%, dependent upon client needs, and the right to work in Europe (e.g., on-site requirement workshops) 

 

Experience : 

Principal Consultant - At least 10+ years hands-on experience across project management, stakeholder management, vendor, and contract management 

Senior Consultant - At least 6 - 10 years hands-on experience across project management, stakeholder management, vendor, and contract management 

A successful track record in IT / Technology project management covering: 

  • Large ERP projects, with exposure to multiple key ERP modules (i.e., ERP, CRM, Procurement, Finance/Accounting, HR, etc.) 
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams, conflicting priorities, differing reporting lines and multi-site projects, as well as scope change and risk 
  • Understanding of tendering process and contract lifecycle management best practices  
  • Experienced at managing organisation change pragmatically 
  • Ability to grasp business issues (e.g., Commercial, regulatory, etc.) and assess the technical impact 
  • Ability to manage senior stakeholders, operate within a multi-vendor environment, familiarity of procurement processes, and able to manage complex technical risks & issues 
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to client tight deadlines (when required) 

Must have delivered a minimum of 2 large complex ERP programmes 

Must have detailed exposure to cloud technologies and experience of on-premise platforms 

Must have excellent communication and presentation skills 

Ability to motivate project team members and 3rd party suppliers to ensure project delivery in accordance with organisation, quality and best practice expectations  

Proven ability to work in international teams and create measurable and identifiable improvements in Technology & IT 

A strong academic record (at any institution) and able to showcase robust analytical rigour  

Solid understanding of project management processes and best practices (e.g. PRINCE 2, PMP, Agile Manifesto) 

Fluent business level English is essential. Additional European language skills including French, Spanish, Dutch, German or Italian are desirable
