The Workday HRIS Senior Analyst will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing Workday for our firm. As an established Workday customer, we are continually adding new modules, enhancing existing functionality, and helping our users get the most out of Workday. The current modules in use at A&M are HCM, Recruiting, Talent and Performance, Payroll, Benefits, Time Tracking, Absence and Projects.
Unlike many other companies, HRIS Analysts at A&M are cross trained to work across our various modules. We have core module focus areas but are fully encouraged, trained, and expected to understand and support the end-to-end touchpoints within other modules. There is ample opportunity to learn and support the entire system.
Key Areas of Responsibilities:
Leads requirements gathering, design, build, test, and deployment of new functionality or modules. Understands the importance of change management to facilitate the transition to new technology and processes.
Addresses end-user support cases as assigned. Troubleshoots and resolves production support issues and resolves defects timely and with exceptional customer service.
Effectively partners with teams such as HR, Recruiting, Benefits, Payroll, Finance, IT, and others to provide support for requests such as enhancements, defects, and new functionality.
Performs research into problems, identifying opportunities to correct the situation, and seeks opinions and feedback on suggested solutions. Looks beyond the surface to ensure the solution will fix the problem.
Utilizes their Workday knowledge to make recommendations on new functionality, provide creative solutions to business user requests and improve overall usability of the Workday system.
Frequently provides status updates on ‘in progress’ work items or projects assigned.
Maintains technical and industry trend knowledge by participating in Workday Community and other forums, including on-line discussions, brainstorms, voting, training, webinars, etc.
Participates in bi-annual Workday releases by reviewing release notes, educating end users on new functionality, making recommendations on functionality to deploy, conducting new functionality and regression testing
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, HRIS, Business Administration, IT/IS, MIS, or related field preferred.
Knowledge of HR processes (from previous assignments, roles, experience in HR – i.e., responsibility in new hires, terminations, leaves of absences, employee benefits, immigration, etc.).
Minimum 4-years of experience in Workday configuration and functional support, with a preference for Workday Payroll and/or Security functional knowledge.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills are essential.
Proven record of setting delivery commitments and meeting expectations.
Analytical mindset with a strong ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues.
Ability to manage multiple, high priority tasks and adjust to shifting priorities, while meeting deadlines.
Must be self-motivated and able to work independently as well as on a team.
Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to learn new systems and processes.
Ability to work within a team environment with global team members and time-zones.
Ability to learn technology quickly through instruction and self-training.
Ability to learn Workday reporting and calculated fields.
Customer service oriented with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectations and deliver an excellent experience.
