Alvarez & Marsal is looking for strong director / senior director level talent with experience in oil and gas ERP consulting to join its Energy practice. A&M works with clients to deliver operational, consulting, and industry expertise to management and investors seeking to accelerate performance, overcome challenges and maximize value. 

The ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge in multiple of the following areas:

  • Upstream Oil & Gas  accounting, land and marketing systems and processes
  • Knowledge, and experience with the implementation of, E&P ERP systems, including managing software selections, requirements definition, design and build, integration testing and cut-over
  • Program management
  • Organization design
  • Process improvement

Responsibilities:

  • Provide service excellence by identifying key client business issues
  • Determine client needs by supplementing the standard assessment techniques and tools with innovative approaches
  • Evaluate and validate analysis and develop recommendations for the client in the context of the overall engagement
  • Implement and oversee the quality of deliverables
  • Effectively manage the team and day-to-day relationships to ensure exceptional performance
  • Participate in the development and presentation of proposals for business development activities

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of relevant consulting and energy industry experience
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing projects within Upstream Oil & Gas
  • Experience working with major E&P ERP systems, including Quorum, SAP, Enertia, P2 and W Energy
  • Senior Director level candidates should have a demonstrated track record of originating and / or selling work
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, finance, economics preferred; MBA a plus
  • Ability to derive insights from quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Strong communications skills and the ability to articulate complex messages succinctly
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Excel, MS Visio, MS PowerPoint)
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
  • Comfortable with travel
