SENIOR ANALYST, GLOBAL TAX (U.S.)

POSITION OBJECTIVES

Support A&M’s tax compliance, tax planning and related tax accounting functions, with emphasis on partnerships and their owners. Collaborate with the rest of the internal tax team as well A&M’s finance, legal and human resources departments, internal business units, and outside tax consultants.  Support a variety of domestic and international tax projects and initiatives by analyzing data and applying knowledge and research of tax regulations.  Act with confidence, agility and sound judgement to perform a variety of tasks to accomplish goals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The following are key work activities of the Senior Analyst to achieve the position objectives listed above:

  • Support the tax compliance function in the areas of U.S. federal, state, local and non-U.S. income tax return filings, extensions and payments. Coordinate with financial accounting, payroll and IT functions to gather and review information needed for the preparation of tax return filings and reporting to partners. 

  • Liaise with internal financial accounting team to compile and analyze data related to a variety of income tax and tax accounting issues, including sales and use tax, transfer pricing, foreign tax credits, tax provisions, and tax account reconciliations.

  • Assist with preparation of reports to C-Suite pertaining to internal tax expense allocations, budgeting and forecasting of taxes and related withholding.

  • Assist with tax authority examinations, special projects and tax planning for U.S. and non-U.S. jurisdictions, including maintenance and use of global tax calendar.

  • Support initiatives to review and streamline U.S. and non-U.S. income tax compliance, including the data gathering process, tax authority examinations and planning opportunities. Assist with other ongoing process implementations and improvements.

  • Address tax-related inquiries of A&M partners and employees.

  • Monitor and help manage A&M’s cross border activity and permanent establishment considerations.

  • Ad Hoc data analysis, projects and internal reporting

  • Work closely with and manage outside tax advisors.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • : Minimum of 3-4+ years of broad experience in federal, state and local tax gained in an accounting firm or corporate tax organization.  Experience with partnerships and consulting industry preferred.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in accounting; CPA preferred.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.
  • Excellent tax technical skills commensurate with experience
  • Proficient Microsoft Excel skills
  • Self-starter, willing to roll-up sleeves and take ownership of tasks.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with the team.

Compensation Statement:

The annual base salary range is $100,000 - $110,000, commensurate on experience.  In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance.  Please ask your recruiter for details.
