About A&M Momentum

Momentum is the latest team from A&M Digital and Technology Services (DTS) and provides cutting-edge IT and digital services to our clients. Momentum will work on client site as the digital & technology delivery arm of A&M to provide tailored solutions to meet the unique needs of our clients. The Momentum team is composed of highly skilled technology professionals ranging from IT project manager to UX expert. Momentum will be an integral part of A&M offering and is expected to be a catalyst for the further growth of DTS. 

The A&M Momentum data team will work with other A&M teams, developing prototypes that the clients can use on an ongoing basis, feeding data from source systems, and providing business intelligence and operational insight that they can use to deliver and sustain business value.

Our Data services include Data Driven Performance and operational improvement (Board reporting, management reporting, Operational reporting), Procurement analysis, working capital analysis, profitability analysis, P&L analysis, HR/Org analysis, Machine learning and generative AI.

We are looking for experienced Data Engineers and Data Architects to deliver large, complex client engagements. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within an innovative team to apply state-of-the-art analytics to real world business challenges.  Grades available include Senior Consultant, and Consultant, and will be based on your level of experience.

The roles will be based in Dublin with hybrid working policies and there may be some ad-hoc requirements for client visits in the UK and continental Europe. 

In this role you will have the opportunity to work on many exciting European and Global projects enabling our clients to positively change their businesses and enhance their performance.

Key day to day responsibilities

  • Combine different tools and technologies to develop end to end analytical solutions that address our clients’ business challenges, with a focus on the Microsoft Azure set of PaaS tools for data transformation and analysis
  • Develop and enhance A&M’s data accelerators and leverage these accelerators to for specific clients Understand, analyze, develop and enhance data models from source system data (eg. ERP) from specific client
  • Create SQL code and Pipelines to transform client data from source Stay up to date with developments in the field of Data Analytics, Cloud data analysis tools
  • Work as part of a diverse team within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution 

Must have (Technical skills)

  • Experience developing and understanding complex data models, including source ERP data models across multiple ERPs.
  • Experience creating and supporting complex ETL/ELT processes
  • Experience in SQL Warehouses / Azure Synapse and T-SQL skills
  • Experience with data cataloging and linage tools. Azure DP900 or ideally Azure DP203 – and over 2 years hands-on experience in the areas covered in the certification

Must have

  • A collaborative spirit and the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively to business stakeholders
  • Curiosity to understand business context and business issues, with several examples where the candidate has deep dived into a business problem.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines 
  • Experience in delivering data projects across multiple business disciplines and business types
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills when working with both business and technical teams
  • Irish or dual UK–EU country nationality (or work permit) allowing work both in the UK and EU  

Nice to have

  • Strong academic record, with a degree in Engineering, Science or Data related topics.
  • Experience developing visualisations in PowerBI (leveraging a warehouse backend, not just as a desktop tool) 
  • Experience in MDM and Data Governance
  • Experience in PowerBI and Microsoft PL300 certification
  • Programming skills in at least one of the following languages: R, Python (and PySpark)
  • Experience working in a consulting environment
  • Strong Microsoft excel and Powerpoint skills
  • Financial experience and/or qualifications e.g. ACA, CIMA, ACCA, CFA
  • Experience with predictive modelling, machine learning and AI techniques 
  • Experience in Alteryx or other low code tools Experience with RPA, OCR and web scraping 
  • Experience with Machine Learning tools (e.g., Sagemaker, Azure Machine learning)  
  • Fluency in one or more European language
