Operations Analyst

A&M’s Valuation Services practice is seeking an experienced Operations Analyst to provide high level operational support to its NYC Valuation Services practice. The team is seeking someone who can help leadership with optimizing staff scheduling for our recurring quarterly, semi-annual and annual clients; provide leadership with analysis of engagement profitability and staff utilization; maintain staff compliance with time reporting requirements, and develop solutions to help the practice serve clients efficiently.
Responsibilities/Daily Tasks:
Set up introductory and preliminary results calls
Assign teams
Send intro emails to clients requesting admin set-up info
Provide fee history to SD / MD and lock down fee estimates
Run conflicts
Prep engagement letters and prepayment invoices
Open project codes
Update / maintain client database
Update / maintain 409A tracker
Save documents / set up Box folders
Create a tracking system to anticipate workload
Assist leadership in Managing staff scheduling. Compiling and presenting data on utilization, determining time spent on projects against budget.
Compiling recovery rates on client engagements
Oversee timesheet inquiries and compliance, etc.
Work with internal teams building and leveraging relationships across the organization and clients projects
Conflict check memos and project code creation, invoicing
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required, in a business-related major (accounting/finance preferred)
1-5+ years of work experience, or relevant internship experience
Prior experience in an accounting or consulting firm, investment bank or independent valuation firm preferred
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
Proficient/experience with collaboration software, e.g. BOX, Teams, SharePoint, Salesforce, WIPs, Agresso, Prime or other time management tool
Basic knowledge of accounting and financial principles a plus
Excellent oral and written communication skills
