Alvarez & Marsal’s Global Transactions Advisory Group (”TAG”) is seeking individuals who are personable, inquisitive, and open-minded to join our pan-European team and pursue a rewarding career as a qualified ICAEW Chartered Accountant (ACA).
About the Role:
In our Birmingham office, we have exciting graduate opportunities available for aspiring Transactions Advisory professionals. As part of our pan-European team, you will play a crucial role in solving complex problems, driving performance improvement, and maximizing value for stakeholders. You will be actively engaged in both buy and sell-side Financial Due Diligence (“FDD”) engagements from day one, gaining hands-on experience in financial data analysis and the evaluation of a target's underlying earnings, net debt, and working capital. You will have the opportunity to work with Private Equity and Corporate clients on UK, Cross-border, and Global transactions.
Combining your technical accounting knowledge from ACA training with practical FDD skills and experience, our senior-led approach will offer you direct exposure to our Managing Directors and Senior Directors on a daily basis.
We will provide comprehensive support and guidance to help you achieve your ACA qualification while offering opportunities for both professional and personal development. Upon qualification, you will be eligible to participate in our global secondment program. Qualifications and Requirements:
Eligibility to work in the UK
A 2:1 or higher undergraduate degree
A-level ABB (or equivalent)
Strong proficiency in business-level English, with other languages being desirable
Proficiency in Excel and Word (intermediate level), with database skills considered advantageous
Relevant work experience is preferred, but not a necessity
Evidence of non-academic achievements
