The Team

Central Asia practice is growing rapidly and is now looking for Analyst, Associate and Senior Associate professionals to help drive our continuous growth and serve our clients. 

 

As a part of Alvarez and Marsal, you will have the opportunity to work on multiple and varied performance improvement, restructuring and transformation engagements while working closely with our team leaders. Also, you will benefit from formal training in addition to ‘on the job’ learning and development. Responsibilities

From the beginning, you will work in a fast-growing and dynamic team to:

  • conduct rapid diagnostics of the company's performance, its immediate and future cash needs, product profitability, cost base, major operational issues, market position and options for improving and restructuring;
  • implementation of the opportunities through development and execution of a transformation plan tied closely to EBITDA and working capital improvement;
  • evaluate both cost reduction and revenue enhancement opportunities;
  • work with clients through the full spectrum of complex issues that arise in operations, including production, supply chain management, logistics, purchasing and cash flow management;
  • develop and implement new operating plans to improve the business operational performance;
  • develop and implement performance improvement solutions to solve under-performance on both cost and revenue lines, and;
  • contribute to business development activity.

 

Requirements

The successful candidates will possess a proven consulting and/or industry background in Operational Restructuring, whether in the context of commercial / supplier agreements, closure of an entity/divestment of assets, negotiating with banks, or dealing with management teams or trade unions. We expect our candidates to have experience in design and delivery of organizational change, and transformational programs at C-suite and board level.

 

We are looking for people who have:

  • a degree from a Tier 1 Business or Engineering school, or another highly rated Institution;
  • proven track record in industry, ideally focused on transformation projects including the optimization of all aspects of a business, ideally gained within an organization with a production facility of significant size, scale and complexity;
  • possess excellent financial & business and/or financial modelling skills;
  • must have an ability and willingness to travel (potentially from day 1) to client sites, across the regions, at short notice as part of the working week;
  • business level fluency in English and Russian (verbal and written) is essential; and
  • previous P&L accountability experience is welcome but not necessary.
