A&M is seeking an Associate HR Business Partner (HRBP) based in the London office.

The HRBP team partner with every client group in the business, including EMEA regional support. We are regarded as people experts, advising at all stages of the employee experience. We leverage the working knowledge of each client group and the firm’s Culture & Values to drive the core and local people agenda.

Main Roles & Responsibilities:

  • You will work closely with the HRBP team to support people delivery across all business units and geographies throughout EMEA. This is a highly varied role where you will gain exposure across the entire employee experience. This includes but is not limited to:
    • Support the HRBP team in delivering key people projects (core and local)
    • Manage key activities which are critical to the operational delivery of the function (eg probations, exit interviews), with growth in remit over time
    • Support key activities which are paramount to the HRBP programme (such as mid-year and year-end reviews, year-end ratings, promotions and total compensation review)
    • With support from the HRBP team, become proficient in Employee Relations (eg informal actions, performance management, grievances, exits and settlement agreements across EMEA)
    • Collaborate across the People Team to support key people matters as appropriate (eg joiners, leavers, secondments, transfers etc)
    • Develop legal, commercial and risk understanding to inform better decision making and advice to Leadership
    • Contribute to key projects across the People Team and wider firm initiatives (not just limited to the HRBP function)
    • Develop and grow within the role to take on more HRBP responsibilities over time, as you receive training and learn on the job etc.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Prior HR generalist experience desirable, preferably in a corporate /professional services environment
  • Analytical reasoning and solution-focused problem solver with the ability to think critically and independently
  • Ability to drive to results, in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to prioritise work independently
  • Innovative in approaching situations and responsible to be an advocate for change
  • Self-motivated and disciplined individual with analytical skills; capability to work independently as well as in teams
  • Good interpersonal skills with ability to effectively interact with senior management
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Works well under pressure; flexible work style
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with HR systems, Workday preferable but not essential
