The practice is seeking interns for the Phoenix office for summer 2024.

What will you be doing?

You will be working closely with a team to resolve complex matters that pose a threat or disruption to normal operations for our clients. You will support incisive fraud investigations, create forensic analysis, and provide litigation support.

You will be helping our clients confront and resolve legal matters by providing litigation support relating to complex accounting issues across a wide range of projects involving economic disputes, investigations of white-collar crime, forensic accounting and consulting, and post-acquisition disputes. You will develop an in-depth understanding of the client and the case to surface and address key issues, from the big picture to the smallest details. You will develop and communicate your analyses, findings, and insights to your team. Some of the main responsibilities are:

  • Assisting with compiling, analyzing, and documenting information in an investigation, dispute, or accounting related matter
  • Create financial models based on business issues or transactions being analyzed
  • Assist with drafting reports and findings including the preparation of tables, exhibits, and charts
  • Performing quality control review of reports and other client deliverables
  • Assisting with researching technical and industry specific issues
  • Developing and suggesting solutions to complex problems by thinking “outside the box”
  • Communicating proactively and presenting effectively to all levels of the engagement team

  • Working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
  • Target graduation in 2026 or 2027 and working towards CPA eligible (150 credits)
  • Excellence in academics, both within major and overall, 3.5 GPA and higher
  • Strong data analysis, writing, and presentation skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills - good team player with the ability to work under pressure
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work in office, 5 days a week 

Compensation Statement:

The hourly rate is $30 per hour.
