Alvarez & Marsal’s Capital Projects disputes and investigations (DI) team works with clients to advise on Capital projects risk management, disputes advisory, and claims management. Our team provides expertise to manage high value capital projects risks and works in tandem with the law firms to provide expert advisory and expert support in construction claims and dispute matters.

Our team advises clients on internal investigations involving fraud and misreporting and also assists in litigation and arbitration matters involving expert witness engagements in construction contracts, claim for damages and royalties and accounting issues. 

Job roles & responsibilities:

  • Leading the team in assignments related to forensic schedule analysis, and cost claims computation of a stressed project (under claim scenario)
  • Guiding the team in framing the issues, conduct analysis and drafting the delay / quantum expert report in arbitration / litigation
  • Identification of project issues and crisis areas in large scale capital projects and mitigation propositions
  • Leading and supervision of the team
  • Presentations of reports to clients
  • Leading, ideation and preparation of proposals for service offering to clients
  • New client development

Basic qualifications:

  • Civil/ Construction /Mechanical Engineer
  • Post Graduate in Construction Management
  • Diploma/Degree in Law will be added advantage


  • 5-7 years of Working experience in EPC Contractors or Construction claims Consulting firms
  • Adept in construction planning, scheduling, claims computation
  • Commanding skill in MS Project and Primavera
  • The candidate should have complete understanding and demonstrable track record of forensic schedule analysis, and cost claims computation
  • The candidate should be able to demonstrate client experience in construction claims / dispute engagements  
  • Versatile experience in multiple type of projects
  • Good communication skills and presentation skills
  • Skillful in high quality presentations in quick turnaround
  • Quick learner and interest in technology driven solutions
