Alvarez & Marsal

Overview:

Alvarez & Marsal is looking for a Learning and Development Specialist located in our Tampa office and reports to the Learning & Development Director, who is also located in Tampa. This role will be responsible for working with the corporate L&D team, imbedded business learning and development professionals, and our regional HR leaders in US, Europe, Asia, Brazil, and India to design learning solutions that meet business needs.

Essential Job Functions:

  • LMS Administration
  • Compliance Reporting
  • Maintenance of Team Mailbox
  • Partner with external vendors to ensure content and courses align with business need, including delivery methodology. 
  • Partners with the business leaders and subject matter experts to align effective and practical learning solutions that enable employees quickly and efficiently.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of core learning and development solutions, tracking participation/engagement, and proactively adjusting where needed.  
  • Facilitate corporate training support courses for Executive Assistants and HR knowledge sharing sessions.
  • Provide Learning administrative support and coordination of employee trainings including sending training invitations, preparation/posting of training materials, ordering catering, communicating needs to IT and facilities, distribution, and documentation of sign in sheets and evaluations.

Key Competencies:

  • Relationship Building:  Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders to assure that L&D programs are aligned with specific business priorities and outcomes. This includes global business leaders as well as HR partners and employees. 
  • Critical Thinking:  ability to determine the importance and relevance of comments and perspectives, identify inconsistencies and errors in reasoning, and prioritize accordingly.
  • Technical Expertise:  Design innovative solutions. Design and deliver strategy for these programs and execute against plan. Understand rapid development processes and an iterative model.
  • Global Mindset:  ability to view potential solutions through a global lens, allowing strong decision making that takes all regions into view.
  • Facilitation:  Be an experienced and dynamic facilitator, comfortable working with across multiple levels of employees.

     

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 1 year of experience in corporate learning and development.
  • Proven ability in evaluation methodologies, designing & developing learning programs, and facilitating experiential learning programs.
  • Work collaboratively with all practice areas to execute strategy initiatives.
  • Ability to build relationships and partnerships across the organization.
  • Proven ability to navigate a very complex organization with many key stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to include demonstrated ability to communicate complex issues succinctly; create and conduct effective presentations; experience building strong client relationships while exercising influence to achieve desired results.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Some travel required (10%).

The salary range is $65,000 - $70,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance.  Please ask your recruiter for details.
