Benefits Manager - EMEA Benefits Team - London (hybrid working)

Our dedicated EMEA Benefits team is part of a wider growing People Team. The EMEA Benefits team provides comprehensive programs to educate, engage and empower stakeholders to make decisions that support their overall health and well-being.

Overview of the role:

The ideal candidate is responsible for managing the European benefit offer and wellbeing programmes across continental Europe. The role includes the development, implementation, administration, and communication of EMEA benefit programs and ensuring legal compliance. This person is also responsible for researching new and/or improved cost-effective employee benefit plans that support the company’s needs and business objectives. This position reports directly to the Director of HR Operations.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Maintain working knowledge of various government requirements, programs and mandates and analyse impact on design and administration.
  • Recommend plan design changes based on industry trends, corporate strategy, and the changing regulatory environment.
  • Oversee and participate in the preparation of all reporting.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with all employees.
  • Lead and support any RFP process in the Region.
  • Manage benefit plan vendors and third-party providers to ensure optimal service delivery at most efficient cost for employees and/or A&M.
  • Support identification and management of selection of vendors; assist with vendor negotiations and contract development.
  • Track benefits spend, analyse trends, and ensure proper inputs for annual budgeting process.
  • Lead the team on all facets of annual benefits open enrolment process.
  • Develop and maintain overall benefits communication strategy working with internal marketing resources to create new hire orientation materials, ongoing employee communications, annual enrolment communications, etc.
  • Administer and maintain an effective wellness strategy for the company through programs and initiatives intended to benefit the health and well-being of employees.
  • Back up and support all other benefit program administration as needed.

Requirements:

  • Extensive benefits experience preferred.
  • Prior experience in coaching, developing, and leading a team.
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • Experience and understanding of a self-insured funding model for health and welfare plans.
  • Proven success at developing, designing, implementing, and managing benefit programs.
  • Strong customer/employee and vendor relations skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and operationalize/act tactically.
  • Must be self-motivated, adaptable, and resilient.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with Payroll, Finance, HRIS and HR contacts.
  • Workday experience desirable.
  • French, Arabic, German or any other European language desirable.
