Description

Development (Manager), Tax Technology

Alvarez & Marsal’s Digital Tax Services is looking for a Software Development Manager. As a Software Development Manager focused on full stack application engineering and development for the tax practice, your primary responsibility will be to lead a team in designing and developing solutions tailored specifically for tax-related processes. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders, including tax professionals and subject matter experts, to understand their needs and challenges in order to architect innovative solutions that address these requirements.

How you'll contribute:

1. Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of professionals including software developers, qa engineers, and business analysts, to drive the design and development of solutions for tax-related processes.

2. Solution Architecture: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and define business problems and requirements. Architect elegant and scalable solutions that leverage technologies such as machine learning, natural language processing, and data analytics.

 3. Hands-on Implementation: Take a hands-on approach in implementing algorithms and models, ensuring the development of efficient and explainable code. Leverage technologies such as Microsoft Azure, C#, and Python to develop and deploy solutions.

4. Testing and Quality Assurance: Ensure that developed solutions meet high-quality standards through rigorous testing and debugging. Review and approve pull requests from team members to maintain code quality.

5. Mentoring and Collaboration: Mentor junior developers and provide guidance on best practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including tax professionals, IT teams, and business stakeholders, to ensure successful deployment and integration of solutions within the tax practice.

6. Project Lifecycle Management: Contribute to all aspects of a project's lifecycle, including documenting requirements, solution development, system configuration, testing, debugging, and ongoing support.

Who will you be working with?

We are a group of entrepreneurial, action oriented and results oriented tax professionals who take a hands-on approach to solving our clients’ problems and helping them reach their potential.  We are nimble, resourceful, and proactive but adapt quickly when changes are needed. We present you with opportunities, not a playbook, and we reward you based on your achievements, not your tenure.
