The Role

We are expanding our business significantly in the UK and Europe and as a result, we are growing our internal Talent team with the recruitment of a (Senior) Talent Acquisition Resourcer, to be part of the EMEA Talent Acquisition team and work on key vacancies.  The purpose of this role is to assist and support our Talent Acquisition Senior Managers and Directors with effective and timely assignment delivery across the lines of business. The role will be based in our Manchester or Birmingham office, however due to the significant growth of our firm it is likely that this person will conduct recruitment assignments across the UK and our EMEA geographies.

As Talent Acquisition demand is very dynamic in terms of requirements, it is essential that the successful hire embraces a ‘can do’ approach. The successful candidate will develop strong relationships with all our business leaders across the region and support our ambitious growth plans. 

Responsibilities

  • Support the recruitment cycle from initial briefing meetings to advert writing, candidate identification, competitor mapping, headhunting, screening, interviews and offer negotiation
  • Identify, target and successfully approach key candidates across the competitor landscape and qualify against agreed competencies and criteria for each vacancy
  • Conduct research into target organizations and industry sectors including collating and sharing market intelligence on our competition
  • Manage all aspects of the offer stage, from negotiation to acceptance and be an effective conduit between HR, Operations teams and the Talent Acquisition team
  • Build relationships to gain candidate referrals from senior individuals (internal and external)
  • Timely communication with candidates during assignments
  • Capture and maintain accurate market and candidate information on Alvarez & Marsal’s internal knowledge systems (Workday & Jobvite)
  • Produce accurate and timely reports in preparation for update meetings, progress updates etc.
  • Work with a variety of internal teams to ensure our employee branding and messaging is clear, our culture & values are upheld and our commitment to diversity and inclusion is at the forefront of our recruitment activities 
  • Maintain & promote extremely high levels of service, professionalism, candidate experience and delivery, thus mirroring the standards and values expected from the wider firm.

The person

  • A strong academic record combined with significant hands-on experience of delivering recruitment & proactive sourcing assignments with a search firm, a contingent recruitment agency or an in-house professional services firm
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to effectively prioritize projects and deliverables
  • Advanced user skills across Recruitment technologies such as LinkedIn, websites and other effective resourcing tools
  • Ability to absorb and assimilate information quickly, getting to grips with new roles and business areas
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential information at maximum discretion
  • Proficient in MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.  Experience with an internal HRIS system such as Workday or Jobvite is a significant plus
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
