Our German Office is rapidly growing and therefore we are looking for a Senior HR Manager (m/f/d) in Munich.
You will work closely with local and EMEA Leadership to improve the employee experience within Germany, Austria and Switzerland during an exciting growth phase for the Firm. We plan to more than double in size within the next 2-4 years. Our practice in Germany is the major remit of this role.
This role encourages proactivity and a high degree of HR autonomy, to develop your own relationships with colleagues and make on the ground people decisions. You will have the full support of the central HR EMEA function which includes dedicated expertise across the employee experience (HR Operations, Benefits, Global Mobility, Inclusive Diversity, Business Partnering, L&D and Project Management).
You will have opportunities to own local and EMEA-wide projects and support the implementation of core projects within the DACH region. You must locally champion the ‘A&M way’, our Culture and Values and support a consistent approach to people matters across EMEA (noting local cultural and legal differences).
The EMEA Headquarters are based in London where the majority of the EMEA HR team are based. You will join an ambitious team who are passionate about creating an outstanding culture and experience for our colleagues. You will have a formal reporting line to the HR Director, manage 2 local HR colleagues with a dotted line to local Leadership.
Key duties of the role include:
· This is a generalist and hands on role, you will be experienced in scaling functions for growth and providing outstanding advisory services to Leadership and their teams
· Champion the employee lifecycle (onboarding, career development, performance management, reward, inclusive diversity, engagement and retention etc)
· Own and deliver key HR projects within the DACH region
· Provide generalist HR expertise to Leadership and champion improvements to the employee lifecycle
· Lead and upskill the local HR function, ensure it is fit for purpose to meet operational demands per our growth plans. Manage work activities of the team
· Accountable for labour law compliance with support from your HR colleagues
· Act as the go-to local HR contact for all HR-related matters, with support from your HR colleagues.
· Develop a deep knowledge and understanding of your business areas and build high quality, trusted relationships with key stakeholders.
· Experienced in managing employee relations matters (eg probations, performance issues, terminations, absences, grievances etc)
· Active member of the HR EMEA function, to connect with all teams, keep the leaders of all HR functions informed and consulted as appropriate.
· Regularly review and improve local HR processes and policies, including as part of scaling for growth
· Support automation of workflows and efficiency improvements where possible
· Proactive focus, identify people challenges and propose solutions to Leadership
· Excellent collaboration across support functions (locally and EMEA)
Candidate Requirements:
· Ideal experience within the professional services industry and an international company
· Prior significant HR experience with a proven HR generalist background, including management of a team
· Excellent knowledge of HR processes, local labour laws and people related legal compliance
· Experience in delivering high quality advisory services to senior stakeholders with reference to firm culture, processes, precedents, commercials, and legal risk
· Ability to engage, inspire and influence people
· Passion for continuous improvement
· Teaming and collaboration skills
· Self-motivated, creative, team player and possesses analytical skills
· Fluent in German and English
