The Team

Our team is focused on improving return on investment capital and reducing the risks specific to capital projects. Our highly respected Infrastructure and Capital Projects (I&CP) team is built on deep industry sector expertise with a demonstrably differentiated ability to address the most complex business problems and by supporting our owner/operator/contractor clients with the expertise of our deep project, Alvarez & Marsal's ultimate goal is to reduce the level of uncertainty associated with the development and operational costs of your projects, contributing to greater shareholder value drawn from procurement through execution and asset management through different solutions. 

The Role

A&M is expanding in EMEA, and we are looking to recruit exceptional professionals in Riyadh at the Senior Manager and Director levels. Working with some of the industry's brightest and most experienced colleagues, you will lead and manage complex infrastructure and capital projects from inception to completion in the context of performance improvement, digitization, delivery transformation, and operational turnaround.

You will oversee various aspects of the consulting service and ensure that projects are delivered effectively and efficiently while deploying digital solutions, resource allocation, delivery support, cost-efficiency, and integrating governance throughout the infrastructure projects' lifecycle.

The Responsibilities

From the beginning, you will work in a fast-growing and dynamic team to:

  • Support the deployment of capital projects offerings, maximize efficiency, and proactively find solutions to increase productivity
  • Help clients resolve issues and deploy global best practices at all stages in the lifecycle of capital projects  
  • Build client relationships, and understand the needs of senior management in day-to-day interactions
  • Support the team to identify a portfolio of high-impact opportunities across capital projects, ranging from quick wins to major transformational outcomes
  • Support Managing Directors and other senior members of the team with client pitch production
  • Actively participate in firm-building committees and initiatives such as recruiting, learning and development, culture, marketing, and finance


We are looking for people who have the following experience, knowledge, skills & abilities:

  • A high-grade bachelor’s degree (or equivalent/higher) from an accredited top-tier university in engineering, accounting, business, or a similar discipline.
  • experience in a managerial position, demonstrating the ability to lead and oversee a team effectively.
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of successfully managing and motivating teams.
  • Arabic language skills are a must.
  • Fluency and strong skills in English are essential Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Previous exposure to areas such as capital strategy, project delivery assurance, digital capital projects, asset management, construction dispute resolution, and project excellence.
  • 9+ years of prior full-time consulting experience or 10+ years of non-consulting (engineering) professional services work experience.
  • Candidates with non-consulting background require experience in mega assets lifecycle, including cost estimation, quantity surveying, and budgeting.
  • Candidates with consulting background require experience in mega projects, including strategy, business planning, performance management, project management, budgeting, and accounting.
  • Understanding of project controls, QA/QC, contract administration, procurement, and capital projects risk management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and financial background combined with a deep understanding of business and operational drivers.
  • Strong ability, knowledge, and skills in project management and operations reviews.
