Business failures, financial frauds and accounting irregularities have resulted in regulatory interventions, investigations, financial restatements and a sizeable number of lawsuits. Dealing with matters of a complex nature requires a broad range of skills and experience. Our pan European Disputes & Investigations (DI) team has presence in Paris, London, Munich, Frankfurt, Geneva, Athens, Madrid and Zurich. The DI team has worked on some of the most significant, high-profile matters in the investigative and disputes area across many European countries and beyond.

The DI practice is comprised of professionals from a wide range of backgrounds, who bring deep expertise in conducting forensic accounting, forensic technology matters, disputes, arbitration, litigation, fraud investigations and delivering expert witness reports.

We are currently seeking to recruit a forensic accounting professional to be based in Madrid to be part of our Disputes & Investigations practice in Spain and across Europe. The successful candidate will:

  • Use forensic accounting skills to investigate fraud and other financial misrepresentations.
  • Assist with compiling, analyzing, and documenting information in an investigation, dispute, or accounting related matter.
  • Assist in the performance of complex financial models and analyses.
  • Assist in the preparation of Expert Witness reports of a financial or economic nature.
  • Assist with drafting reports and other client deliverables.
  • Assist with researching technical and industry specific issues.

The successful candidate will have a balance of the following skills:

  • Previous professional experience required: 0 to 2 years as an external or internal auditor, or in a financial position.
  • Internships in auditing or forensic departments are also highly valued.
  • Degree in Business Administration and Management. Double degree in Business Administration and Management + Law is desirable.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English is required (additional language skills are highly desirable).
