Description

A&Ms intranet, Connect, is our virtual library and the portal to our services and resources globally.

We’re creating a new position in the Intranet Team, reporting to the Intranet Manager EMEA in London, who will support the day-to-day activities and development of our regional site.

The Intranet Team is part of the wider Operations business unit which is home to a number of small teams including Knowledge Management, Internal Communications, Marketing and the Insight Center.  Close collaboration with Knowledge Management and Internal Communications is expected.

Our upgraded intranet was launched on SharePoint Online in 2022 with a global and regional emphasis, creating many opportunities to share news, knowledge, guidelines, templates and more.  As we expand our offering to individual countries, we need to grow the intranet team in EMEA to ensure we maintain a high-level of support and standards.

This is a varied role and the successful candidate will need to work on the intranet as well as various legacy systems.  They will be a champion of A&Ms information services at all times.

Responsibilities:

  • Take responsibility for updating the central EMEA pages, such as business overviews and office guides
  • Support country site owners with their homepage news including: proposing content, posting articles and reviewing formatting
  • Ensure intranet content is presented clearly and concisely, actively following up with Site Owners to provide support and guidance on UX and information architecture best practices
  • Set up new sites and pages to the requirements of individual services and business units
  • Help Site Owners structure their content effectively using metadata and filters
  • Create training, guideline and governance documentation
  • Complete regular site audits and follow up with site owners on how they can optimize their information, for example: deleting out of date documents, updating contacts and reflecting the changing business landscape
  • Own the Business Unit Portal permissions and audience targeting process, ensuring that content is only shared with approved users and audience targeted to optimize user journeys
  • Run analytics reports on site usage and engagement.  Communicate results regularly to the business with action points on ways to improve
  • Troubleshoot technical issues as they arise and manage through to resolution with our System Services team
  • Train site owners in person and via Teams on how to maintain their content on the intranet.

Your general qualities:

  • Adaptable to the various working styles and processes across the firm
  • Creative in the delivery of solutions
  • Motivated by constant learning and desire to build something meaningful
  • Ability to deliver high quality results, often in a time-constrained environment
  • Results-oriented mindset
  • Positive and “Let’s Get it Done” attitude; willing to pitch in where needed
  • Intellectually curious and a highly motivated self-starter
  • Strong orientation towards collaboration and working in teams
  • Confident, independent, and a good communicator
  • Flexible in their approach to problem solving
  • Logical approach to work, detail orientated and an effective troubleshooter

What you bring:

  • English speaker to business professional proficiency, with a second language as an advantage
  • Bachelor’s (2:1 or above)/Master’s (Merit or above) degree in a related field
  • Relevant work experience in a similar role
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • The ability to organise and prioritise tasks, and to manage concurrent small projects
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills, comfortable working with quantitative data and numerical analysis
  • Good knowledge of SharePoint Online and O365 applications

As a new role within the firm, there will be scope to expand responsibilities and generate new ideas to help grow our business.  The role provides a lot of training and course attendance opportunities for professional development.
