Since inception, the global tax team at A&M has enjoyed exponential growth. Our team has grown to over 800 professionals across the globe and we are now looking to further continue this growth in the Netherlands. Our tax practice offers the opportunity to work without audit conflict and truly act as a trusted business advisor to our clients.
We are seeking an M&A (Transactions) Tax professional (Associate level) for our growing tax team in the Amsterdam office. This role will give you unique career opportunities in one of the fastest growing tax practices.
What will you be doing?
Providing advice in all aspects of transactions tax advisory work:
Producing due diligence reports in respect of buy-side and sell-side mandates
Supporting buy-side clients in respect of tax modelling and funds flow workstreams
Drafting advisory reports on the establishment of fund structures and transaction structuring in respect of the acquisition / disposal of investments
Working to client or Managing Director set deadlines to deliver completed reports
Providing clients with ad-hoc advice on day to day planning issues
Establishing and managing client relationships:
Dealing directly with clients to assimilate their tax concerns
Identifying areas of risk for clients and working with senior team members to develop risk mitigation strategies
Liaising with tax specialists in other areas
Co-ordinating national and international Tax teams
Involved in business development and marketing initiatives
Work closely together with the members of A&M’s global tax teams with locations in places such as UK, US, Germany, Dubai and many more; and
Focus on advisory work with limited time spent on compliance and administrative tasks

Qualifications:
A Dutch university degree in Tax Law or Tax Economics;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Dutch and English;
A number of years Dutch M&A (Transactions) Tax experience required;
Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills;
Strong communication, presentation, project management, and business development skills;
Ability to simultaneously work on several projects and effectively manage deadlines;
High motivation to learn and grow; and
Detail-oriented and possess strong organizational skills.
