About the role: (Senior) Associate (m/f/d) - Commercial Due Diligence (CDD) - Germany

As a (Senior) Associate Commercial Due Diligence within A&M's Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) practice, you will support the CDD leadership team in advising leading private equity funds and their portfolio companies on strategic commercial decisions throughout the transaction lifecycle. Drawing on A&M's operational experience and senior resources, you will play a key role in delivering projects to clients.

Key responsibilities:

  • Independently structure and deliver workstreams to ensure successful execution of (commercial) due diligence projects together with the CDD leadership team in various industries.
  • Gather data gathering through desk research, performing expert interviews, and conducting surveys.
  • Drive in-depth analyses to uncover risks for the transaction and identify opportunities for post-transaction value creation.
  • Work with cross-functional project teams to address challenges and drive results and collaborate with other due diligence workstreams such as ODD, ITDD, FDD, or TaxDD.
  • Deliver reports that focus on the key topics at highest quality in the shortest possible time.

Qualifications: To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Minimum of two years of experience in management consulting, or private equity, ideally with a focus on commercial due diligence.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, capable of effectively conveying insights to clients and other stakeholders.
  • Excellent bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • High degree of independence, commitment, and motivation
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a drive for continuous learning and professional development.
  • Fluent in German and English (written and verbal).
