Our Performance Improvement Professionals

The A&M Performance Improvement Group (“PI”) is comprised of former MBB and Big Four team members who provide strategic, citizen service delivery optimization, operational improvement and financial improvement plans to Public Sector clients in Australia and across the Globe. Our PI professionals actively engage with Senior Stakeholders in our clients to gain the acceptance to drive and deliver value to their organisations and their ecosystems and recipients. Our PI team is also able to work with A&M’s team of ESG subject matter experts who provide services such as SFDR, ESG strategy and sustainability reporting. Our professionals routinely team with the firm’s transaction, recovery, tax, commercial and information technology professionals to deliver a truly integrated solution to clients.

Requirements and skills

  • Undertake engagements to address our Public Sector and Health clients most complex issues and challenges to deliver improved outcomes and value.  This may include developing key strategies, business cases, major program assessments, strategic procurement, financial assessment and improvement, and service design.
  • Engage with Senior Executives and Management to understand their requirements and objectives, communicate key findings and gain acceptance to recommendations.
  • Analysis and communication skills to gather and assess detailed information including key financial and operational data. Synthesize and convert the data into meaningful information that is used to drive discussions with target management and drive observations and conclusions.
  • After an investigative analysis, lead the engagement team in the construction of value driven reports and presentations for clients. Participate as a member of an engagement team in further articulating how such findings should be incorporated into the client's defined outcomes and objectives.
  • Able to assist the Managing Directors and the broader team with engagement issues and management
  • Work with the engagement team to develop and propose creative solutions
  • Willing to present at external forums and to able productive relationships with current and potential clients

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or master's degree or equivalent Industry experience
  • MBB or Big Four experience
  • Ability to travel within the country (where practical and possible)
  • Strong excel and power point skills required. Experience with data analytics and visualization software (i.e., Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau) strongly preferred.
  • The successful candidate will be ranked a Top Performer in his or her peer group and furthermore, driven to success, a self-starter, and have strong interpersonal and communication skills. The individual will be insightful, decisive, a critical thinker, and commercial. Further, the individual will be able to work well in teams however will develop the knowledge and maturity to work with our clients independently.

Specific characteristics include:

  • Experience in Public Sector, Health or Defence clients
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to articulate to senior members of target management, client representatives and colleagues
  • Experience in AI and Generative AI will be considered advantageous
  • Highly analytical mind-set
  • Ability produce high quality, concise and impactful presentations / reports
  • Strong project management skills
  • Team-oriented personality
  • Professional in style and demeanor/exercises good judgment
  • Motivated and effective in a fast-paced culture
