The Team

The A&M EMEA Digital & Technology Services (DTS) team revolves around six core areas of expertise: Digital Strategy, Customer Experience, Data & Intelligence, Cyber Security, Smart Products & Assets and Cloud @Scale. We are full service Digital offering spanning Strategy, Customer Experience, Technology and Data. Our positioning is at the intersection of strategy and execution (not slides and then gone, nor fingers on keyboards coding & testing or detailed customer journey designing), architecting the destination, orchestrating the delivery, and navigating the change & transformation journey.

We help clients ideate, incubate, and industrialise new business models including agile target operating models, customer and product innovations, or intelligent and automated back offices leveraging a mix of capabilities ranging from digital product management, customer experience (CX) service design, data and analytics, and self-service platforms. Working directly with client management, A&M's involvement reassures all stakeholders that the company is taking important steps to address key market opportunities or challenges and maximise the value of its business and technology investments moving forward.

The Role

As a result of our growth, our Middle East Team is expanding. We are looking for a Senior Associate who will sit at the intersection of our Digital and Financial Services Team. The successful candidate will be using their prior professional services experience to become an integral part of our successful ‘hands-on’ team.

Our international team is comprised of seasoned executives from diverse backgrounds, functional experts & highly skilled consultants.

Typical responsibilities will include:

Analysis & recommendations:

  • Synthesize information and analysis into high-quality outputs and recommendations; this includes building models based on financial and/or operational data and requires strong knowledge of Excel (to analyze the data) and PowerPoint (to present the analyses)

  • Research and understand technology and financial services trends to develop explanatory frameworks and points-of-view that demonstrate insight into the risks and rewards of these.

Business development

  • Synthesize information after research and analysis into high quality client reports and points-of-view to drive client engagement and relevant discussions.
  • Originate fresh ideas and articulate these in a way that can be shared internally and with target clients.
  • Support Managing Directors and other senior members of the team with client pitch production and responses to RFPs.

Strategy and execution

  • Participate in end-to-end strategy or customer digital transformations across business, technology, process and people;
  • Becoming part of client teams and operating fully end to end, from problem identification to formulating strategy and delivering the end product; and transferring capabilities to help our clients use digital technology to transform their businesses.    
  • Support the senior members in the team with comprehensive bottom-up IT assessment/IT Due Diligence, and IT and Digitalization strategy development;
  • Review performance figures and analyse data to develop fact-based analysis to examine the root cause of problems.
  • Take ownership of tasks and generate viable solutions, with moderate oversight and guidance

Requirements:

The ideal candidate needs to possess a passion for digital transformation and have a strong consulting experience.

  • 4+ years of prior fulltime consulting experience and proven skills in managing the creation and delivery of client ready deliverables across the project lifecycle (or at least three years of full-time non-consulting work experience in other professional services firm) (Financial Services, Insurance, Banking, or Wealth Funds);
  • A high-grade bachelor’s degree (or equivalent/higher) from an accredited top-tier university in business, economics, computer science or a similar discipline;
  • Understanding of IT function specificity and a keen eye for the business processes analysis;
  • Understanding of banking products and their commercial models;
  • Thorough understanding of business opportunities introduced by digitalization;
  • Logical thinking and strong problem-solving skills;
  • High integrity as characterized by the ability to deliver messages even when they are difficult to hear, and;
  • Fluent business level English is essential. Additional language skills including Arabic are advantageous.
