Our Private Equity Performance Improvement team works with high profile PE clients across Europe to:

  • Realign portfolio company performance through operational restructuring to directly improve the earnings and cashflow within the business
  • Carry out effective integrated due diligence (Operational, IT, Financial, Commercial and Tax) pre-transaction, and provide comprehensive post transaction services (Post Merger Integration, Carve Out, 100 day planning)
  • Deliver performance improvement via business transformation and/or cost reduction programmes
  • Design and implement Digital Transformation initiatives in Data Science and Analytics, Digital Workforce and Artificial Intelligence and Digitisation
  • Take interim management positions for example (and depending on experience) CEO, CFO, CIO, CTO, Program Manager, Customer Experience initiatives etc.

A&M consistently attracts top performers from our competitor firms and due to exponential growth we are currently recruiting an Associate or Senior Associate to join our Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) team in Stockholm.

As part of a select and highly skilled team, you will have the opportunity to;

  • Deliver high-impact pan-European projects, from pre-acquisition support to transformation, performance improvement, operational turnaround and exit
  • Review clients’ immediate and future issues and develop actionable options to improve performance & generate strategic advantage
  • Complete in-depth financial analysis including creating integrated financial models and cash flow projections 
  • Researching key information on company financials and business performance and synthesizing data into high quality client reports and recommendations 
  • Support business development activities including the creation of client pitches and proposals to win new mandates
  • Gain exposure to senior management in the Nordics and internationally, gaining ‘on the job’ learning & development in addition to established formal training programmes

Requirements

The successful candidate will be an execution-focused self-starter with entrepreneurial flair. They will be comfortable working independently as well as part of a high performing team. Previous experience or exposure gained in a Private Equity firm or a consulting firm such as a top tier strategy firm, a leading specialist advisory firm or ‘Big 4’ consultancy is advantageous.

Specifically, the successful candidate will have:

  • A strong academic track record from an accredited top-tier university in engineering, accounting, business, or a similar discipline
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and financial background combined with deep understanding of key business and operational drivers 
  • Fact-based and solution-focused combined with an action-oriented approach and well-developed analytical skills
  • Good financial modelling, writing and presentation-building skills coupled with excellent attention to detail 
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Fluent business level English & Swedish are ideal and additional language skills including Danish, Finnish or Norwegian are highly desirable
