A&M's Tax team is composed of seasoned tax professionals experienced in providing practical tax advice across all industries including infrastructure, mining healthcare, financial institutions, energy, environmental services, technology, and education. By utilizing an integrated approach with A&M professionals with deep operating and financial-related experience, the team uses a focused and tailored approach to rapidly identify and understand our clients’ needs and areas of specific interest.

The A&M Tax professionals' team with the firm’s Global Transaction Advisory Group and Performance Improvement practice to deliver a truly integrated solution to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Research, write and manage various tax advisory assignments, including but not limited to, complex tax and structuring advice
  • Undertake and manage tax due diligence projects, helping to identify key tax risks and potential deal breakers
  • Assist clients with the preparation and review of their income tax compliance obligations
  • Assist clients in engagements and interactions with, and reviews by, revenue authorities, including strategic advice on managing complex tax risks
  • Assist with business development efforts such as preparing marketing materials and participating in meetings with clients and proposals
  • Participate in and lead meetings and conference calls with client personnel and serve as an additional point of contact for client personnel with respect to day-to-day matters
  • Ability to manage multiple chargeable and non-chargeable projects of varying size and complexity

Qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in law, accounting, IT and/or related major
  • Big Four experience required
  • Strong corporate tax / M&A tax / international tax advisory experience
  • Strong technical knowledge of Australian corporate income tax laws
