Our pan European Debt Advisory team has offices in UK, Germany and now France in Paris. We operate across a broad range of industries, advising both private, listed and private equity-backed businesses.  The team have a deep knowledge of a wide range of debt products including corporate lending, leveraged finance, debt capital markets, private placements, asset based facilities and structured finance.  In addition to engaging on “good book” mandates, the team has experience across the credit spectrum from the healthiest growing companies to those in stressed situations including refinancing, introducing alternative capital providers, negotiating covenant amendments & waivers, and broader stakeholder management.

Our European team is expanding and we are looking to add a talented, ambitious and experienced (Senior) Director to our Paris office.

Working as part of a highly skilled international team, the (Senior) Director will assist listed businesses, private companies and private equity funds to source, negotiate and amend debt finance across an increasingly diverse and complex range of structures and markets including banks, credit funds and other non-bank lending institutions.

Typical projects will include:

  • Reviewing refinancing options to support growth strategies
  • Advice on optimal capital structures
  • Negotiating new money fundraisings
  • Refinancing and restructuring existing debt facilities
  • Helping borrowers manage their lenders in stressed situations
  • Financial modelling, including analysing business forecasts, scenario analysis and covenant sensitivities
  • Leading the management of transaction processes, including the preparation of information packs, presentations and financial analysis

The successful appointee will have:

  • Experience within the European debt markets either at a leading debt advisory firm, in banking or on a DCM desk
  • The ability to demonstrate experience leading assignments across a range of situations and products
  • The ability and inclination to manage senior client level relationships both at the height of a financing exercise but also through the periods between transactions
  • Native or bilingual in French is essential, as fluent in English. Additional European language skills including German, Spanish or Italian are highly desirable.
