Receptionist (32-40 hours)

To further professionalise experience for our visiting clients and resident employees, we are looking for a receptionist in addition to the current administrative team in our Amsterdam office. Someone who is energetic, welcoming, initiative and has a passion for hospitality.

A&M’s Receptionist role requires flexibility, dynamic approach, the ability to multi-task, prioritise and be aware at all times that A&M’s reception is the heart of the office. The successful candidate will embrace a can-do attitude, team spirit and more importantly will be happy to get involved in the day-to-day life of our office. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Greeting all A&M visitors, show them to their room and providing refreshments
  • Answering calls and ‘at the desk’ queries in a professional and timely way
  • Booking meeting rooms and ensuring that they are always maintained to a high standard
  • Booking couriers and organising all incoming and outgoing post
  • Arranging the catering for events held in the office if required

Soft Skills required

  • Strong communications skills, able to present in a friendly and open style
  • An obvious passion for client service and hospitality
  • Enthusiasm and empathy to others

Experience required

  • Previous experience as a receptionist or front desk roles
  • Experience in customer/client facing environment
  • Experience with office equipment (e.g. scan machines and printers) and Microsoft Office is a plus
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in Dutch and English is a must
