Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager to support our executive team in Shared Services. The Operations Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the global organization, providing strategic and tactical support to the executive team, and fostering collaboration across Shared Services.

This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional organizational and leadership skills, capable of managing complex projects and facilitating effective communication channels within Shared Services and with key stakeholders across the organization. The successful candidate will have strong project and program management skills and the ability to both craft strategy and dive into execution to drive impact across Shared Services projects.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Lead or support special projects across programs as assigned by Shared Services leadership team
  • Act as a liaison between Shared Services and other departments within the organization on programs and projects
  • Monitor and track project performance, developing and implementing mitigation strategies
  • Execute change management and communications strategies to ensure strong adoption of processes and practices across the business
  • Prepare comprehensive project status reports, presentations, and recommendations to Shared Services leadership and senior management
  • Provide administrative and operational support Shared Services leaders, including meeting coordination, and preparation of presentations and reports for executive leadership
  • Assist in management of Shared Services budget, analyze plan to actual performance, review headcount and attrition and provide other financial analysis and reporting as needed

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of related professional experience in project management, consulting or other related experience, required
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field; Master's degree preferred
  • Deep analytical skills with ability to translate data and trends into key insights and recommendations, financial acumen and ability to build and manage budgets, models, etc.
  • Ability to handle ad hoc projects as business requirements emerge and evolve
  • Experience in large, matrixed and global organizations preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High professional and ethical standards for handling confidential information
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with expertise in PowerPoint and Excel

Full-time Positions and Part-time Positions Over 30 hours

Regular employees working 30 or more hours per week are also entitled to participate in Alvarez & Marsal Holdings’ fringe benefits consisting of healthcare plans, flexible spending and savings accounts, life, AD&D, and disability coverages at rates determined from time to time as well as a 401(k) retirement plan. Provided the eligibility requirements are met, employees will also receive a discretionary contribution to their 401(k) from Alvarez & Marsal. Additionally, employees are eligible for paid time off including vacation, personal days, seventy-two (72) hours of sick time (prorated for part time employees), ten federal holidays, one floating holiday, and parental leave. The salary range is $120,000 - $150,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance.  Please ask your recruiter for details.
