Senior Quality Assurance (Senior Associate), Tax Technology

Alvarez & Marsal’s Taxand practice is seeking a talented senior qa (quality assurance) to join the tax technology team. This hire will be responsible ensuring high quality world class software.  Your software will operate in all facets of A&M Taxand; from internal tools that improve efficiencies to client facing enterprise systems that compete at the world level.

How you'll contribute

• Consult with clients and subject matter experts (SMEs) to understand the problems
• Ensure a high level of quality across our software portfolio
• Work directly with the engineers to identify, reproduce, and resolve defects
• Design testing patterns and methodologies that apply across the practice
• Work directly with leadership to provide insights on the health and quality of our solutions
• Contribute to all aspects of a project’s lifecycle: documenting requirements, solution development, system configuration, testing, debugging, and support

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Management Information Systems, or Information Technology & Accounting and/or a Master’s degree in related field
• A practical approach to building, testing, and troubleshooting software
• 3+ years of experience assuring a high quality of software development
• A natural flair for problem solving and an entrepreneurial approach to work
• A strong interest in technology and its use in business processes
• Ability to learn and apply new technologies
• Excellent communication and business writing skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills

Regular employees working 30 or more hours per week are also entitled to participate in Alvarez & Marsal Holdings’ fringe benefits consisting of healthcare plans, flexible spending and savings accounts, life, AD&D, and disability coverages at rates determined from time to time as well as a 401(k) retirement plan. Provided the eligibility requirements are met, employees will also receive a discretionary contribution to their 401(k) from Alvarez & Marsal. Additionally, employees are eligible for paid time off including vacation, personal days, seventy-two (72) hours of sick time (prorated for part time employees), ten federal holidays, one floating holiday, and parental leave. The salary range is $95,000 - $110,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance.  Please ask your recruiter for details.
