Position Overview

A&M’s Knowledge Management (“KM”) team is part of a growing KM team that has been building and establishing over recent years.  KM maintains functional ownership over the firm’s global intranet, advises on global content and stakeholder management both at the whole-firm and division and region-specific levels, and guides strategy and functional support over communications through M365 collaboration tools and other KM-related applications. 

This role is in the Knowledge Management (KM) team, specifically in the sub-team of Technology that is responsible for the delivery of day-to-day functional support, strategy, and roadmap of the A&M Knowledge Management ecosystem, which includes but is not limited to Microsoft 365, SPO, Automation, analytic reporting tools and various other Knowledge management applications.

KM Technology understands, builds, and advises on solution builds for the larger KM division, from a thorough Microsoft 365 best practices mindset  

This role involves providing functional support, consulting, and implementing technical solutions and applications aligned with the company's knowledge management strategies. 

THIS IS A ROLE THAT REQUIRES ONSITE 3 DAYS PER WEEK.   

Principal responsibilities 

Under the guidance of the KM Technology Manager: 

  • Provide day-to-day functional support for Microsoft 365 applications and customized tools, a reporting and analytics tool, and potentially other Knowledge Management related applications. 

  • Act as a subject matter expert and provide guidance and consultation for Microsoft 365 Applications, a reporting and analytics tool, and potentially other Knowledge Management related applications. 

  • Partner with Knowledge Management subgroups (KM Business Partners and KM Field Operations), and other teams throughout the firm to plan, document, implement, and support solutions and tools. 

  • Conduct assessments, consult, gather detailed requirements, and recommend solutions that meet A&M Stakeholders' and technical expectations and needs— plan and implement recommendations into flexible and scalable solutions within our Knowledge Management ecosystem. 

  • Design, develop, and customize SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams sites based on business requirements. Must have some familiarity with automation development using PowerApps and Power Automate, and any  

  • Assist and/or lead implementation and support of firm-wide collaboration tools, including but not limited to Analytics, Microsoft Viva, and other Knowledge Management related applications. 

  • Create, review, and deliver documentation including but not limited to business requirements, timelines, change management, communications, user adoption and training, best practices. 

  • Participate in developing and maintaining the KM Ecosystem roadmap and strategy. 

  • Participate in developing internal processes and strategies for building Global KM practices, KMSS team, and partnerships. 

  • Demonstrate a willingness to assist with tasks outside immediate essential role requirements to benefit an organizational success. 

 
Qualifications 

  • 2-4 years of experience in: 

  • Microsoft 365 ecosystem 

  • Solution implementation and Consulting experience in large-scale environments 

  • Business Analysis, Project management, project coordination, and Change management 

  • 2-4 years of experience in a corporate environment; experience working at a professional service or consultancy firm is highly preferred. 

  • Proven experience working with professionals of all experience levels up to C-Level. 

Required Skills and Attributes 

  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot technical problems – Detail oriented 

  • Experience operating in the entire Microsoft 365 ecosystem, Modern SharePoint Online, out-of-the-box. 

  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot technical problems. 

  • Exposure to Microsoft Viva Suite, Analytics/Reporting, and Sharegate is a plus. 

  • Experience creating and advising on taxonomy, metadata, and term stores. 

  • Strong consultative and proactive approach when partnering with the business. 

  • Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with multiple stakeholder groups and senior management. 

  • Demonstrate a high level of 'grit' in their perseverance of effort and resilience to challenge. 

  • Strong willingness to learn and apply new and emerging technologies. 

  • Analytical reasoning and solution-focused problem solver who can think critically and independently with a keen eye for connecting the dots. 

  • Ability to drive results in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Works well under pressure and has a flexible work style. 

  • Excellent communication and receptive listening skills, with the ability to present complex ideas and solutions for all audiences. 

  • Demonstrated a history of operating with urgency, responsiveness, and client-first focus. 

  • Exposure to Knowledge Management methodologies is not required but is a plus. 

Full-time Positions and Part-time Positions Over 30 hours

Regular employees working 30 or more hours per week are also entitled to participate in Alvarez & Marsal Holdings’ fringe benefits consisting of healthcare plans, flexible spending and savings accounts, life, AD&D, and disability coverages at rates determined from time to time as well as a 401(k) retirement plan. Provided the eligibility requirements are met, employees will also receive a discretionary contribution to their 401(k) from Alvarez & Marsal. Additionally, employees are eligible for paid time off including vacation, personal days, seventy-two (72) hours of sick time (prorated for part time employees), ten federal holidays, one floating holiday, and parental leave. The salary range is $70,000 - $85,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance.  Please ask your recruiter for details.
