The Role


Our team of senior professionals have not just capabilities as advisors but in many cases also a proven and successful track record as a senior level executive in operational roles. Across all levels, our professionals work in a “hands-on”, action-oriented style with senior client management, and with the entrepreneurial freedom and opportunities which are at the heart of A&M’s culture. We are growing the team at Director (m/f/d) level to enhance our highly experienced senior management team. We are seeking a talented, ambitious, experienced and entrepreneurial field service optimisation practitioner who wants to further their career.

Technical Competencies and Experience

  • Director/Manager of Field Service Operations in one of the following services: Energy Services, Grid, Telco, Fire & Security, Cable TV
  • Management consultant specialising in Field Service Operations

Additionally, you will have a good mix of the following experience:

  • Proven track record of delivering performance improvement in Field Service Operations. Demonstrable improvements in key performance indicators:
    • Cost-to-Serve
    • Productivity: Engineer Utilisation; Jobs-per-Day
    • Effectiveness: First Attendance; First Time Fix; PPM Completion Rate; Time-to-Complete
  • Record of delivering improvements through the design, implementation, and optimisation of:
    • Process: Planning & Scheduling Optimisation; SOPs; Tool / Test Kits; Van Layout; Inventory Management
    • Technology: CAFM; PSO; PDA; Vehicle Tracking
    • People: Skills / Capability Building; Team Set-up; Work Allocation
    • Performance Management: KPIs; Targets; Performance Dialogues; Data Visualisation and Reporting
  • Possibly an engineering degree but with experience of Lean, 6 Sigma and Operational Excellence
  • Planning and Scheduling Optimization Software (desirable)
  • Fluency to a native level in both written and verbal English and German is essential
