Senior Associates/Managers, INFRA (US)

Alvarez & Marsal (A&M), a leading independent global professional services firm, is seeking Senior Associates and Managers to join its Infrastructure & Capital Projects (INFRA) practice in Houston, Atlanta and Miami. With professionals around the world, the A&M INFRA team has deep hands-on experience in industries such as power, oil & gas, manufacturing, mining, transportation, clean energy, real estate, public sector (state/local and federal) and others.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide ownership at increasing levels of responsibility (task/deliverable ownership, workstream ownership, project ownership), demonstrating ability to communicate clearly internally and externally, provide meaningful and insightful products/deliverables, and generally providing exceptional client service to A&M’s corporate and government clients
  • Ability to understand and synthesize complicated and nuanced information into meaningful and insightful recommendations, action plans, analysis, etc.
  • Provide technical skills in the engineering & construction industry such as scheduling, cost management, procurement, project controls, capital planning, project execution planning, vendor oversight, contract management, etc.
  • Provide exceptional client services within I&CP’s service lines with ownership, identifying opportunities for improvement, playing an active role on client relationship development and relationship management;
  • Lead meetings and presentations with managerial and executive level of clients and A&M, projecting confidence and mastery of the scope of work;
  • Promptly respond to project demands and anticipate critical actions towards the success of initiatives;
  • Demonstrate experience in project management and participate on multiple projects with a variety of functional areas;
  • Contribute to business development efforts by developing proposals, thought leadership, research, and solutions;
  • Expand A&M’s presence on assigned accounts by identifying other business opportunities;
  • Act as a link between staff and leadership to propel culture and technical knowledge;
  • Coordinate and engage on I&CP’s administrative efforts (Programming, Sales Spreadsheet, Collections, etc.)

Qualifications:

  • Degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field;
  • Experience working on complex projects including planning, procurement, design, construction, etc.;
  • Graduate degree in project management or business administration will be a plus;
  • Availability to travel.

Skills:

  • Ability to work, manage, and/or lead under pressure, with fast-paced workflows and tight deadlines;
  • Ability to prioritize work according to client and internal demands
  • Demonstrate an “entrepreneurial” spirit, showing ambition and identifying opportunities to expand existing work or generate new work;
  • Strategic decision-making ability in a dynamic work environment;
  • Proactivity to seek knowledge on innovative project management technologies
  • People management skills;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills;
  • Ability to develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients on a variety of hierarchical levels.

The salary range is $65k- $160k annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance.  Please ask your recruiter for details.

Full-time Positions and Part-time Positions Over 30 hours

Regular employees working 30 or more hours per week are also entitled to participate in Alvarez & Marsal Holdings’ fringe benefits consisting of healthcare plans, flexible spending and savings accounts, life, AD&D, and disability coverages at rates determined from time to time as well as a 401(k) retirement plan. Provided the eligibility requirements are met, employees will also receive a discretionary contribution to their 401(k) from Alvarez & Marsal. Additionally, employees are eligible for paid time off including vacation, personal days, seventy-two (72) hours of sick time (prorated for part time employees), ten federal holidays, one floating holiday, and parental leave.
