Team Profile:

Alvarez & Marsal’s Financial Due Diligence (FDD) works with strategic players across industries and PE community. FDD focuses on providing potential clients with an understanding of company’s

  • Sustainable economic earnings
  • Historical sales and profitability trends
  • Working capital levels
  • Key assumptions used in management’s forecast
  • Key personnel and accounting information systems  

FDD involves commenting on quality of revenues and earnings, over/understated assets and liabilities, post-closing cost structure changes, historical trend analysis (key market drivers, sales strategies, customer relationships and customer churn) and qualitative observations like company’s internal control structure, management and accounting team, and accounting information system. As part of FDD, extensive interactions are conducted with C-suite executives and other senior personnel of the corporations.

Job Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to diverse Transaction Analytics projects, collaborating closely with our Managing Directors, Directors and Senior Managers.
  • Employ a range of visualization, primarily using Microsoft Power-BI, and programming tools, primarily Alteryx, to handle large, intricate data sets, delivering tailored solutions to support client decision-making.
  • Provide analytical services to private equity firms and corporations throughout the transaction lifecycle, uncovering actionable insights to guide M&A, divestment, and investment strategies.
  • Gain exposure to a wide array of industries by working with large-cap and mid-cap PE firms, corporate clients, and financial institutions across various regions.
  • Develop client relationships and promote our Transaction Analytics services, while collaborating with the broader A&M network to offer integrated solutions.
  • Stay at the cutting edge of technology by keeping up with market-leading advancements and sharing knowledge within the team.
  • Benefit from regular interaction with our European Leadership team, leveraging their extensive deal experience and commercial insights.

Education Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s in commerce/Analytics/Business Studies etc.
  • Master's in commerce or similar course will be advantageous. 

Experience:

  • Must have at least 2+ years of experience in working with Alteryx, and Power BI. Experience in Web Scraping, SQL, and Python are a plus.
  • Alteryx Core certification is required.
  • Previous Deal/Transaction Analytics experience is advantageous.
  • Strong commitment to cutting-edge Deal Analytics.
  • Experience with Private Equity or large corporates is helpful.
