Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Staffing Manager with 3-5 years of experience in resource management and staffing operations, to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the staffing allocation and operations for our consulting resources to ensure optimal staffing levels and project success. This role requires strong organizational, data management and people skills, a keen understanding of consulting operations, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Resource Management: Manage the allocation of consultants to projects based on their skills, availability, and client needs. Ensure that project teams are adequately staffed, and that resource utilization is optimize.
  • Operations Management: Monitor and analyze staffing metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement. Manage staffing processes to improve operational efficiency and maintain databases to a high level of accuracy, including updating the overall allocation database, creating compliance dashboards and owning a variety of weekly/monthly staffing reports.
  • Internal Coordination: Work closely with project managers and internal stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure that appropriate resources are assigned. Address any staffing-related issues or concerns that may arise during a project.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of staffing assignments, resource utilization, and other relevant data. Prepare and present reports on staffing metrics, resource allocation, and project performance to senior management. 
  • Team Collaboration: Foster a collaborative environment by working closely with other departments, including HR, finance, and operations. Share best practices and contribute to team initiatives aimed at enhancing overall organizational effectiveness.
  • Staffing Operations:
  • Create workforce management plans including forecasting, scheduling, tracking, monitoring, and reporting daily, weekly, and monthly statistics; track the progress of employees against the budgeted plans.
  • Monitor real-time adherence to schedules and adjust staffing levels as needed to address fluctuations in workload or unexpected absences.
  • identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains in workforce management practices

Qualifications:

  • Full-time MBA preferred3-5 years of experience in resource management, staffing, or operations, preferably within a management consulting or professional services environment.
  • Excellent data analytics skills leveraging tools such as Excel, Power Query, PowerBI etc. Strong understanding of consulting operations and project management principles.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on problem-solving and conflict resolution.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with staffing or resource management software (e.g., Workday, SAP)
