Alvarez & Marsal (A&M), a leading independent global professional services firm, specializing in providing turnaround management, performance improvement and advisory services, is seeking Managers and Directors to join its Public Sector Services (PSS) team with project leadership roles within the Federal Practice. In this role, the team member will work directly on Federal government consulting projects and integrate corporate capabilities from A&M’s Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) practice, Transaction Advisory Group (TAG) and Tax practice into government efforts which require transaction advisory, capital markets and accounting expertise.

In addition, team members will:

  • Source opportunities aligned to the PSS and Federal market strategy and support pursuit activities related to the Federal pipeline executing all elements of the capture lifecycle.
  • Lead responses to Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Request for Quotation (RFQs) and serve as a proposal manager.
  • Collaborate with PSS lines of service and A&M business units (PEPI, TAG, Tax) to support Go-to-Market (GTM) and delivery efforts.
  • Lead project delivery and value creation for firm clients across PSS and Federal projects. Perform engagement management responsibilities and lead delivery with high focus on deliverable quality and client relationships.
  • Review financial statements, financial models, and tax information.
  • Create project data books and generate due diligence reports.
  • Lead, coach and mentor team member professionals.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5-8 years of audit, financial accounting and/or due diligence experience at a top accounting firm.
  • Federal government consulting, audit and/or advisory experience.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in accounting, finance or business.
  • Previous business development experience and proposal management experience supporting multiple efforts.

The following annual base salary ranges are dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography: Manager: $125,000-$190,000; Director: $150,000-$225,000. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance.  Please ask your recruiter for details.

Regular employees working 30 or more hours per week are also entitled to participate in Alvarez & Marsal Holdings’ fringe benefits consisting of healthcare plans, flexible spending and savings accounts, life, AD&D, and disability coverages at rates determined from time to time as well as a 401(k) retirement plan. Provided the eligibility requirements are met, employees will also receive a discretionary contribution to their 401(k) from Alvarez & Marsal. Additionally, employees are eligible for paid time off including vacation, personal days, seventy-two (72) hours of sick time (prorated for part time employees), ten federal holidays, one floating holiday, and parental leave.
