Our Infrastructure and Capital Projects practice is comprised of over 600 sector experts and specialized consultants across the Globe. We combine strategic and operational expertise with a deep technical knowledge to support developers, sponsors, lenders, and projects leader to select, structure, improve and execute Capital Projects in a more efficient and sustainable way.

We are seeking a Manager to join our Infrastructure & Capital Projects (INFRA) practice in Power and Utilities with focus mostly on renewable generation, transmission and distribution, urban level and integrated energy systems (“Power”). With professionals around the world, the A&M INFRA team has deep hands-on experience in industries such as energy, manufacturing, mining, transportation, real estate, public sector (state/local and federal) and others.

Responsibilities:

  • Experience in providing consulting services in the Power sector is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of the Power sector market in the US including local regional level markets.
  • Understanding of Power projects development lifecycle including origination, capital strategy, engineering & construction such as scheduling, cost management, procurement and contract management and operations.
  • Engage in proposal preparation including both administrative management of proposals as well as the content creation of methodologies and other technical aspects as needed.
  • Successful individuals in this role are expected to have ownership at increasing levels of responsibility (task/deliverable ownership, workstream ownership, project ownership), demonstrating ability to communicate clearly internally and externally, provide meaningful and insightful products/deliverables, and generally providing exceptional client service to A&M’s corporate and government clients
  • Ability to understand and synthesize complicated and nuanced information into meaningful and insightful recommendations, action plans, analysis, etc.
  • Provide exceptional client services lines with ownership, identifying opportunities for improvement, playing an active role on client relationship development and relationship management.
  • Lead meetings and presentations with managerial and executive level of clients and A&M, projecting confidence and mastery of the scope of work.
  • Promptly respond to project demands and anticipate critical actions towards the success of initiatives.
  • Demonstrate experience in project management and participate on multiple projects with a variety of functional areas.
  • Contribute to business development efforts by developing proposals, thought leadership, research, and solutions.
  • Expand A&M’s presence on assigned accounts by identifying other business opportunities.
  • Support and at times coordinate and engage on Power internal administrative efforts such as resource management, pipeline management, invoicing and other project level admin work.

  • Ability to develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients on a variety of hierarchical levels.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in engineering or a related technical field.
  • At least 5+ years of experience working on complex projects including strategy, early-stage planning, construction and operations.
  • A graduate degree in business administration or engineering management or equivalent will be a plus.
  • Availability and willingness to travel locally to meet project and client needs.

The salary range is $130k- $160k annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance.  Please ask your recruiter for details.

Full-time Positions and Part-time Positions Over 30 hours

Regular employees working 30 or more hours per week are also entitled to participate in Alvarez & Marsal Holdings’ fringe benefits consisting of healthcare plans, flexible spending and savings accounts, life, AD&D, and disability coverages at rates determined from time to time as well as a 401(k) retirement plan. Provided the eligibility requirements are met, employees will also receive a discretionary contribution to their 401(k) from Alvarez & Marsal. Additionally, employees are eligible for paid time off including vacation, personal days, seventy-two (72) hours of sick time (prorated for part time employees), ten federal holidays, one floating holiday, and parental leave.
