A&M FSI works with leading Financial Services Institutions across Europe and revolves around four core areas of expertise: Performance Improvement, Loan Portfolio Advisory, Bank Restructuring and Regulatory Advisory. A&M’s Portfolio Advisory Group (PAG) is a leading advisor to financial institutions, platforms, investors and financiers for credit, distressed assets, non-banking assets and real estate transactions. Reflecting its international marketplace, the team is headquartered in London and Madrid, with comprehensive coverage across markets in EMEA through our other offices.

We provide advice to clients on a range of services including;

  • Asset options analysis & review
  • Loan strategy analysis & divestment execution
  • Transaction preparation and structuring
  • Portfolio due diligence & underwriting
  • M&A and transaction execution
  • Portfolio/asset valuation/pricing
  • Credit structuring
  • Asset on-/off-boarding
  • Operational segregation/carve-out
  • Data Analysis

Currently we are looking for a full-time intern that will join us in January for a period of 6 months, starting as soon as possible. As an intern, you will be part of an International team and your day-to-day tasks will be quite diverse and include taking a proactive role in:

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with stakeholders and professionals from leading financial institutions
  • Use the commercial aspects of your financial analysis skills, in addition to gaining exposure to the key drivers and valuation considerations which drive a transaction
  • Analyse market trends, financial metrics, and regulatory/legal restrictions to assess impact to client’s portfolio and help evaluate different investment strategies
  • Assist in producing financial models and analysis of credit linked cash flow models and projections
  • Contribute to financial analysis, research and reports and the preparation of pitch presentations for potential clients
  • Collect, assimilate, and analyse relevant data to produce insights and solutions
  • Be an action-oriented self-starter with strong analytical skills
  • Be comfortable working independently as well as in a high performing team
  • Assisting in manipulating and analysing large quantities of data

Requirements:

  • Relevant academic background in engineering or finance
  • Previous internship / work experience will be a must
  • Action-oriented self-starter with strong analytical skills
  • Methodical and logical mindset to problem solving, an effective approach to time management and the ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Fluent business level English & Italian is essential. Additional European language skills including French, Dutch, German or Italian are highly desirable
