A&M Financial Services Industry (“FSI”) is a multinational division within the firm that works with leading financial services institutions across Europe and the USA, and revolves around four core areas of expertise: M&A, Performance Improvement, Credit and Real Estate Advisory, Bank Restructuring and Regulatory Advisory. Within A&M’s FSI, the Portfolio Advisory Group (PAG) team is and has been a leading advisor to financial institutions, credit and servicing platforms, investors and financiers in respect of credit, real estate, distressed and non-core assets and financial platform transactions M&A. Reflecting its international marketplace, the team is headquartered in London, Madrid, Milan and Athens, with comprehensive coverage across markets in EMEA through our other offices.

We provide advice to clients on a range of services including;

• M&A buy and sell side advisory
• Non-Core credit and real estate portfolio options analysis & review
• Transaction preparation and structuring advisory
• Portfolio due diligence & underwriting
• Credit and real estate portfolio valuation/pricing
• Structured finance transactions
• Asset Management
• Operational segregation/carve-out
• Asset data and reporting analysis

Currently we are looking for a full-time off-cycle analyst that will join us for an initial period with the aim of full team integration, thereafter, starting as soon as possible. You will be part of an international team and your day-to-day tasks will be quite diverse and include taking a proactive role in:

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of deliverables for the M&A process, such as:
  • Teaser & Information Memorandum
  • Data Tape
  • Process Letter
  • VDR preparation
  • Underwriting and valuations
  • Project management
• Work closely with stakeholders and professionals from leading financial institutions
• Use the commercial aspects of your financial analysis skills, in addition to gaining exposure to the key drivers and valuation considerations which drive a transaction
• Analyse market trends, financial metrics, and regulatory/legal restrictions to assess impact to client’s portfolio and help evaluate different investment strategies
• Assist in producing financial models and analysis of credit linked cash flow models and projections
• Contribute to financial analysis, research and reports and the preparation of pitch presentations for potential clients
• Collect, assimilate, and analyse relevant data to produce insights and solutions
• Be an action-oriented self-starter with strong analytical skills
• Be comfortable working independently as well as in a high performing team
• Assisting in manipulating and analysing large quantities of data

Requirements:

• Relevant academic background in engineering or finance
• Previous internship / work experience is a plus
• Action-oriented self-starter with strong analytical skills
• Methodical and logical mindset to problem solving, an effective approach to time management and the ability to work to tight deadlines
• Understanding of an M&A process and its deliverables
• Fluent business level English & Spanish is essential. Additional European language skills including French, Dutch, German or Italian are highly desirable
