Job Role & Responsibilities:
The Senior Manager in the investment banking team will play a pivotal role in supporting senior bankers in origination and execution of transactions. The candidate should have a strong background in financial analysis, pitches & collaterals preparation, diligence management, and the client management, with a strong desire to build expertise in Healthcare, Consumer & Consumer-tech and Manufacturing & Industrials sectors.
Origination Support:
- Collaborate with senior bankers in ideation and origination of transactions.
- Drive strategic ideation, storyboard development, and guide team members on research and financial analysis for pitches and proposals for potential transaction opportunities.
- Lead preparation of pitches and proposals to secure new business.
- Identify new transaction opportunities by leveraging market trends and client insights.
Transaction Management:
- Lead the end-to-end execution, covering M&A, Private Equity and Structured Finance transactions.
- Oversee transaction processes, including marketing, diligence, structuring, negotiation, & closing.
- Lead preparation of the marketing materials including teasers, information memorandums and other presentations along with the team members.
- Lead preparation of financial models and valuation analyses along with team members.
- Conduct in-depth research on potential buyers or investors (and targets on buy-side transactions).
- Ensure seamless execution by managing cross-functional coordination and mitigating risks during the transaction lifecycle.
Client Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact, managing relationships & ensuring high-quality service.
- Independently manage key leadership meetings; set agendas, summarize next steps and demonstrate excellent listening skills.
- Work closely with senior bankers to understand client needs, offer strategic solutions, and deliver on client objectives.
- Maintain client engagement throughout the transaction lifecycle, proactively assessing and addressing concerns and managing expectations.
- Clearly and confidently articulate ideas in both written and verbal communications.
Team Collaboration:
- Work with team members to ensure high-quality deliverables and contribute to the team’s overall development.
- Foster a positive work environment to promote high performance and teamwork.
- Actively support colleagues beyond individual responsibilities, promoting a strong team dynamic.
- Mentor junior team members, fostering skill development and professional growth.
Industry Leadership:
- Stay informed on trends, regulations, and market dynamics impacting the sector of expertise.
- Share deep sector knowledge with the team to enhance expertise.
- Develop thought leadership and build a reputation as a subject-matter expert in the chosen sector.
Qualifications:
- Education: CA/ MBA preferred, with a strong academic background.
- Experience: Minimum of 6 years in corporate finance, with demonstrated experience in closing PE and M&A transactions.
