The Team 
 
A&M’s PEPI practice works with private equity investors and their portfolio companies to deliver independent analysis and end-to-end services across the investment lifecycle. The team specializes in operational and commercial due diligence, post-merger integration, performance improvement, and transformation. A&M’s proprietary Rapid Results Program helps quickly assess business process risks and identify key areas impeding performance.
This role offers the opportunity to work with PE-owned portfolio companies, addressing underperformance, reorganization, and repositioning challenges, while maximizing value for stakeholders.
 
How you will contribute
 
  • Lead a wide range of projects, including operational/commercial due diligence, post-merger integration, performance improvement, and interim management.
  • Advise and implement performance improvement programs for major corporations across various industries.
  • Evaluate cost reduction and revenue enhancement opportunities.
  • Oversee post-acquisition work to ensure operational due diligence (ODD) findings are realized quickly and effectively.
  • Develop and execute 100-day plans, ensuring clarity, ownership, and delivery of growth and cost reduction goals.
  • Support PE-owned businesses in improving financial and operational performance.
  • Work on complex operational issues, including manufacturing, supply chain management, logistics, and purchasing.
  • Contribute to business development, including creating successful pitches and transitioning from diagnostic phases to implementation work.
  • Develop and implement new operating plans to improve business performance.
 
Qualifications
 
Essential:
 
  • Proven experience working with private equity-backed portfolio companies, with expertise in transformation, PMI, and due diligence.
  • Extensive knowledge of international operations, including manufacturing, supply chain management, purchasing, and logistics.
  • Track record of delivering major assignments at pre- and post-deal stages.
  • Strong understanding of operational KPIs, balanced scorecards, and continuous improvement processes.
  • Expertise in LEAN production philosophy and holistic performance improvement projects.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to engage leadership teams in high-pressure situations.
  • Degree from an accredited university.
  • Fluency in Swedish and English (business level).
 
Desirable:
 
  • MBA or financial qualification.
  • Additional European languages.
  • Cross-sector experience in industries such as telecommunications, automotive, manufacturing, energy, retail, consumer goods, transport, business services, or healthcare.
