Job Role & Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Delivery Excellence:

  • Manage complex dispute advisory engagements, including litigation support, arbitration matters, and forensic investigations, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
  • Provide insights on dispute-related issues, including commercial disputes, damages analysis, construction contract disputes, and post-acquisition disagreements.
  • Draft and review expert reports, witness statements, and other key deliverables, ensuring precision and adherence to client requirements.
  • Formulate and execute workplans, ensuring alignment with client objectives and engagement scope.
  • Maintain personal accountability for quality and accuracy of all deliverables.

2. Project Execution:

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring effective allocation of resources and adherence to timelines.
  • Oversee analysis of financial records, agreements, and supporting documentation to identify discrepancies and develop solutions.
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis to support dispute resolution strategies.
  • Ensure proper documentation of all findings and methodologies to support expert testimony.

3. Team Leadership & Development:

  • Mentor and guide team members, fostering professional growth and technical expertise.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Lead training sessions to upskill team members on dispute resolution and forensic investigation techniques.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration and excellence within the team.

4. Communication:

  • Present findings and recommendations confidently to clients, legal teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Communicate complex financial and operational concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Prepare high-quality written reports, including expert witness statements and advisory memos.
  • Participate actively in client meetings and contribute to strategic discussions.

5. Business Development:

  • Develop and nurture relationships with legal counsel, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to expand A&M’s service offerings in dispute matters.
  • Lead the preparation of proposals and pitch presentations for prospective clients.
  • Author thought leadership articles and \Points of View\ on dispute resolution trends and best practices.

Skills & Competencies:

1. Problem-Solving and Analytical Expertise:

  • Demonstrate strong critical thinking and analytical skills to resolve complex dispute-related issues.
  • Ability to synthesize financial data and legal considerations to formulate actionable insights.
  • Recognize inconsistencies or errors in reports, and propose corrective actions.

2. Leadership and Teamwork:

  • Ability to lead project teams, manage client expectations, and deliver under tight deadlines.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Motivate and inspire team members, promoting a positive team culture.

3. Communication Skills:

  • Written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex issues into clear, concise deliverables.
  • Strong presentation skills to effectively communicate findings to clients, legal teams, and senior stakeholders.

4. Business Acumen:

  • Understanding of dispute resolution processes, including arbitration, litigation, and mediation.
  • Market knowledge of industries such as manufacturing, construction, retail, and technology.

Qualifications:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA), MBA, or equivalent qualification.
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting standards, forensic investigation methodologies, and litigation processes.

Experience:

  • 7+ years of post-qualification experience, with significant exposure to dispute advisory, forensic accounting, and/or litigation support.
  • Proven track record of managing and delivering high-value dispute resolution and forensic engagements.
  • Experience with Big 4 firms or leading consulting firms is a strong advantage.
  • Demonstrated experience in working closely with legal counsels
