Software Engineering Intern – Valuation Services

Start Season & Year: Summer 2025

As an intern with the A&M Valuation Services Software Engineering team, some of the main responsibilities are:

  • Applying computer science knowledge to real-life valuation problems
  • Completing engineering tasks to contribute to and support a productive, positive, and creative team
  • Developing scripts/software to automate team tasks, debugging software flaws, and building additional features for existing systems
  • Increasing documentation on all valuation systems
  • Working with peers and managers to analyze data, evaluate results, and decide upon the best solution to effectively solve problems
  • Improve testing, deployment, and stability of valuation software solutions.
  • Collaborate on complex computer science solutions that focus on scale, security, and availability

Core Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related technical field
  • Experience with data structures/algorithms as well as backend or full stack software engineering  
  • Experience with Unix (Linux, Mac, WSL2), IDEs Git, and Agile development.
  • Experience programming in Python with familiarity in Django, DRF, or other python tooling or front-end design with React
  • Understanding of software deployment concepts: (docker) containerization, CI/CDs, Cloud computing
  • Additional experience in key valuation service focuses: Finance/Fintech, data engineering, ML/AI
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Able work well within a fully remote engineering team. Not afraid to ask questions.
  • Ambitious, results driven, self-starter with a desire to thrive in an entrepreneurial culture. Independent problem solver
  • Must be authorized to work in the US without the need for employment-based sponsorship now or in the future.  A&M will not sponsor applicants for US work visa status for this role

Compensation Statement:

The hourly rate is $35 per hour.
